You may recognise the lead male actor if you've seen The Hobbit. If not his face, definitely his voice. And maybe you did recognise him. I'll watch this later. My mother will be pleased I'm actually watching period dramas on my own now (I've also been tempted to watch the 1970's Poldark, I remember it being vaguely interesting even as a young child).

I love the Civil War "North and South" miniseries starring Patrick Swayze. I re-watch it every couple of years. I would LOVE for my next re-watch to be of you two reacting to it. It's kind of a love story. A northerner and a southerner become friends before the CIvil War. Can their friendship survive the war? Plus the actual love stories between the 2 leads and their romantic love interests. I have nostalgic love for "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" from watching it in reruns as a kid. I loved the little robot sidekick character when I was a kid. I would love to watch you react to that, too.

I watched the Civil War North and South as a kid. Haven’t seen this one, although it’s always in my recommendations.

Right, finally found the time to watch. I'll add some context where I can. Bath on the clock is the place of manufacture (its a small city in the south of England, not far from where I live). Northerners still have a stereotype of being 'plain spoken' (aka, they don't hide what they mean), a stereotype that isn't completely undeserved. Some southerners consider them rude, though personally I find them refreshingly honest by and large.

Omg! I almost forgot about Buck Rogers and the 25th century. My dad made me watch it growing up along with the original Battlestar Galactica. It was such a fun little space opera.
