Hey there Patrons! As I’m sure you’ve seen from the excitement everywhere, the SAG-AFTRA strike has officially come to an end. Now don’t fret! That doesn’t mean Red Dwarf is going away, it will just be going back to one episode a week as we continue on to our regular posting schedule. (It’s just me behind the scenes editing and managing the Patreon, YouTube, and socials. So I gotta cut me a little “slack” [not really, but one can dream]).

But we wanna ask y’all for your opinion on a new release day! We’re also including YouTube in this poll though and I wanna make sure you all get your vote in. Head on over to our community tab to cast your vote!

https://www.youtube.com/@GallifreyGals/community

(The three days to vote on over there are Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday! If Red Dwarf takes Friday's slot, Steven Universe will make its debut for Saturday cartoons!

Saturday or Sunday. So it can be a Smeg day ;)

Steve Oxley

Ahhh I like Friday.. End of the week, work just a memory.. Feet up and Red Dwarf to see in the weekend

Paul Baldwin

So happy your not leaving red dwarf now the strike is over :) also any day for me is fine

Mike Connaghan

I don't want to be a burden, so I'll skip the vote and just bitterly complain later.

Martyn Hill

Friday sounds good for me, a nice way to end the week

G0d_Ginrai

Thursday, that way you can call it ‘Red Dwarfers’ Day (‘Fers’-day = Thursday)

Oliver Horsley

I think Friday is best day to have it red dwarf day

Firefly24601

I hope everyone making suggestions here have actually, you know, VOTED for the day they want.... 😁

Susan K Dailey Photography

Any weekday is good by me, cos I work from home. Weekends I tend to be out and about. Hope we'll still get extras like the making of documentaries and the smeg-ups!

Owlcatcher

Well, I joined because randomly finding this place because of Red Dwarf. I binged all of the Doctor Who things since then too. I have no idea what "regular posting" actually is but I hope eventually that will include Battlestar Galactica. That is all XD

Logan Bruin

Never used this before, but Fri-yay!

Bruce Bromley

How about Saturdays? So we'll have it watch on this upcoming November 25th, Gazpacho Soup Day.😁

Rob G

This is like a horrible divorce, do I want to see my child twice a week or once a week? Poo.

David Rowan

I watched Red Dwarf as it was first broadcast. Any day works for me. I'm just happily anticipating the laughs you guys are going to have! 🙂

Katrine Myra

Okay, this. This has to happen.

paul

Question: will you still do the other bits and bobs like the smeg ups and the documentaries as often or will you do those half as often as well?

Blower

Love the Gallifrey Gals from the Dwarf logo! :)

Bill Weaver

Any day is fine. The new days of the week will heceforth be referred to as Smegday1,Smegday2, Smegday3, Smegday4, Smegay5, Dwafday and Ohsmeganother6daystillDwafdayday

PickettsChargingPort

I don't have an opinion on this. Any day is fine so long as it's continued, even at once a week. Fit it in somewhere. Will you also be doing blackadder at some point, now? Hopefully you haven't said and I missed it.

Travis Boyle

Wednesday or Friday for myself. I kind of like the nostalgia factor for Saturday being for cartoons.

Time Lord

We haven't jumped into it yet, but it's now on the list!

Rob G

Kat you are hero for doing what you are doing.

Firefly24601

The smeg-ups and documentaries will still probably be done between series, so there would be twice the amount of time between them.

Chris Bordeman

Why just one? Are you cutting our subscription fee in half, too?

Firefly24601

BSG has been planned once TNG is completed.

Firefly24601

It's worse than that, I'm afraid. You will definitely only see your child once a week. But at least you're getting to choose which day.

Time Lord

We talked about it leading up to this point. Since the SAG-AFTRA strike has concluded we will be going back to releasing all of our previous content on top of Red Dwarf. As I stated above in this post, it's just me (Kat) behind the scenes editing and going down to one episode a week is necessary for the work load. No, our subscription fee will not be "cut in half" because the tiers are for all of our content, not just Red Dwarf. With all of our other shows coming up, content will be doubling with everything else back up and running.

Josef Schiltz

Nope. An English-Dutch-Transylvanian Surrealist!

paul

Oh I see, thanks!

paul

Could you create a red dwarf tier that's a bit cheaper and doesn't include the other shows or is that impractical in some way? Just an idea and sorry if you've already considered that, I'm fine with paying the same amount, I'm just thinking it might save you losing some people who are only here for red dwarf and are on a budget. 😊

paul

Sorry, this was meant to be a reply to Kat's comment below.

Josef Schiltz

Hi Gals! I was just wondering whether any of your Season 1 reactions to TNG are still available to watch?

Time Lord

If you search under 'fan theory' it should pull up a compiled list of our season one reactions! That was when we were on a previous channel, but it should all be there!

Travis Boyle

They explained it in the Bodyswap episode.

Mark Stevens

They already tried that. They had a Doctor Who tier, a Star Trek tier, and possibly a Steven Universe tier along with several others. It was too much work for the Gals to manage. Those individual tiers have been removed in favor of the Alons-y! tier which has all their shows. Soon they'll be reacting to Battlestar Galactica as well which is an amazing show. I think Alons-y! is definitely worth the money. I understand it's difficult while on a budget so I cancelled Netflix when I joined Gallifrey Gals. I only ever subscribe to one streaming service at a time.

paul

Ah ok, thought it was probably something like that! I have no idea how patreon works from the creator side but I can imagine certain things are too awkward to be worth doing.

Josef Schiltz

As Doctor Nine would say, "Fantastic!"

Josef Schiltz

Oh yikes. Sorry. I'll have to forego that. I can't afford to shell out on another fee. Oh well.

Chris Bordeman

Just make it a Patreon only series, then you don't need to edit at all. :)

Time Lord

That would defeat what we do here by taking the opportunity away from people who can not afford to sign up to our Patreon. It's not content we want to gatekeep. And to clarify, I absolutely still have to edit for our work here on Patreon.

Jesse Sharp

Sorry if this is already answered elsewhere, but will the extra Red Dwarf behind the scenes content continue at a regular basis for higher tier patreon members? If not, what regular content/cadence should higher tier members expect to see? I only joined recently because of Red Dwarf and the bonus Red Dwarf DVD content reactions was reason enough to join the higher tier.

Time Lord

Hiya! We're absolutely continuing the extra content, but we've been a little behind on watching them because of schedule stuff with myself and Paula. We normally release the extra reacts to smeg ups, deleted scenes, or making of stuff when it reaches the end of the series. We've gotta play a little catch up that we'll hopefully have some time for today when we sit to record ☺️

Luke Lawley

Hi Gals. Don't get too hung up on any negative feedback. majority of us, I'm sure, love your work. I for one do. Keep up the good work 👏👏👏

Jesse Sharp

Thank you so much for the direct reply. Appreciate you taking the time to answer my question.

Time Lord

Of course. We're so thankful for your support here!
