Back to work: sorry for the delay and lack of updates! (Patreon)

Hi everyone,

I'm writing this short post only to apologize for my absence over the past month 🙏. To put it simply, I lost the person I loved and shared the last 18 years of my life with, so it has been a very difficult period for me, and I haven't found the time to dedicate myself to the project. It took me a while to recover, and I apologize to those of you who continue to actively support the project, I will never stop thanking you for that ❤. At the same time, I understand those who, probably concerned by the lack of new updates, have canceled their monthly support, I can’t blame you for that and I'm sorry.

But now the good news: now I'm back and, as promised, in the past few days I started implementing the new features for the download manager part that I announced a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, I don’t have a working nightly build to share at the moment (I broke quite a few things in the transition to the new system, so the program is objectively unstable and unsafe in its current development state), but I promise to come back soon with at least a video preview of how the work is progressing. From now on I’ll try to keep a development diary to keep you informed about the status of the new version, which I hope to release by next Christmas (and now that I’ve written it I know a thousand unforeseen events will happen to prevent me from meeting the deadline, it's a sure thing 🤣).

Of course, as soon as I fix everything I've broken and get a somewhat working version, I'll release it as a nightly build available to the (brave 😎) premium supporters who want to test the program's features before the public releases so as to enjoy the new features first, as usual.

Finally, I want to take this opportunity to thank again everyone who continues to support the project every month. You are the backbone of this project and the only reason why I haven’t abandoned it yet, thank you all so much, really ❤
