Hi everyone!

I have just released the promised update for the Comix.to plugin. This update introduces a major change under the hood: the plugin now utilizes the web browser to retrieve the necessary API tokens required to access data. This means tokens will no longer be generated directly by the application as they were before. As a result, the plugin should no longer be affected by the frequent encryption key changes implemented over the past few weeks to block third-party tools.

An important note regarding testing: Please keep in mind that I have tested this updated plugin on a development build of the python server. Because of this, I am not entirely sure if it will run seamlessly on the current alpha version of JAM available here on Patreon. Please test it out and let me know if you encounter any issues 👍

System Requirement: Since this plugin relies on the web browser, it is absolutely mandatory that you have the Python integration configured. If you haven't done so yet, you can easily set it up using the dedicated wizard in the Extras menu of the application.

Alongside this fix, development on alpha version is moving forward steadily. My current focus is on reactivating the Library Mode and improving the Python server, which will bring several underlying improvements and make the web browser visible to everyone. This visibility will be crucial, as it will allow you to manually solve captchas or interact with any advanced protection layers that cannot be bypassed automatically, or even log in to websites.

As always, I want to extend a massive thank you to all of you for supporting this project. Your continuous trust and contributions are what keep me motivated to dedicate my time to JAM, allowing me to face and overcome these constant technical hurdles.

Thank you so much, and stay tuned for more updates!

Some suggestions to provide: - With the python integration, it seems to sometimes cause Chrome to be unresponsive, and I have to manually relaunch. There should be a way for this to be done automatically (reattempt/retry on error is what I figured). - Maybe chunking these and doing it so it does 25-30 at a time, then having it forcefully close Chrome (or any web browser) - If it fails/errors out (say I'm playing some video game, or doing something else), it should reattempt if it failed due to my input (if any). Just guessing here since I noticed it kept focusing on another window. Not sure if this is the right place, but if you prefer here or github, let me know.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to share these insights 🙏 To answer your question about where to post: leaving comments here on Patreon is absolutely fine for general feedback and suggestions. If you ever need to paste or attach a log file, GitHub is definitely more convenient for troubleshooting, but for messages like this, feel free to use whichever platform you prefer 👍 Your suggestions are all excellent, and here is where things currently stand regarding them: -Chrome unresponsiveness and auto-relaunch: There is actually already a built-in feature designed to automatically restart the web browser if it crashes or gets closed in the python server script. However, for reasons I haven't quite figured out yet, it sometimes fails to restart even via the server. It seems Chrome occasionally gets stuck in a locked or busy state, preventing a clean relaunch. Improving this stability is one of my main priorities at the moment, and I'm actively working on optimizing this exact behavior within the Python integration server right now. -Retries on failure (focus/input issues): There is already an option in the application settings to configure the number of retry attempts if a download procedure fails. That said, there is a small catch: this feature was originally programmed and tested for downloads handled by the internal Java library. I haven't officially tested how it interacts with the web browser integration yet, so I can't say for sure how it behaves in this scenario 😅 I will definitely need to run some tests to verify and refine it.

Hey! Thank you for all your effort. Small question: I'm still newbie about Patreon and benefits for premium subscribers. How can I find these alpha releases? Thank you.

Hello, first of all, thank you so much for supporting the project 🙏 Regarding the Alpha version, you can download the launcher attached to this post: https://www.patreon.com/posts/jam-welcome-to-155669938 Once launched, it will automatically download all the necessary files. Just make sure you have Java (version 8 or higher) already installed on your PC, otherwise the launcher will not start at all 👍
