Harlot's Path Update v.1.24 (Patreon)

After the previous Harlot's Path update, 3 people wrote messages on Steam about game problems... but, I didn't even know that message system existed... so, I only came across them at Christmas! One of the errors was game-breaking: Hiring Abby could cause game freezes. whO_Ops... So, I spent this past week tracking down and (hopefully) fixing the error and adding some more misc content.

The Abby Freeze: Unfortunately, when I updated the game to add in Conditions, it seems I allowed a glitch to occur as well. I had trouble duplicating it so am not sure how many people it affected but it seems like it triggered if the player turned off the "gay" option in the settings menu, talked to Abby in the spa, then turned the "gay" option back on, OR if the first time you talked to Abby in the spa Harlot was "Diseased" OR some other way I don't know. The result was either Abby would join too early, not giving you the option of selecting her payment rate, OR after she was hired you would walk out of the spa and get stuck against the cliff... Both ways mess up your game. I went through the Abby event line-by-line, fixing up logic-errors and tested as many variations as possible... and it seems to work now.

Baby Stuff: Getting pregnant leads to having a baby, and it all worked fine in the Brothel... but, I forgot about the Hovel... So, if you had a baby before unlocking the Brothel... it would starve to death... Not ideal. So, I actually redesigned the entire event. Now, you can feed and play with the baby in the Hovel. I also wrote code to ask the player each morning if they forgot, and you can even breast-feed the baby if you can't afford food costs. The baby can be cleaned anywhere you wash your clothes. You can play with the baby at your bed. You can also still let the baby die... if you choose to neglect it.

Children Stuff: Once the baby grows up it will be removed from your party and a child will appear in the village, near the Hovel. She will run around, and if you click her you can play a game to make her happy and she'll find you Mushrooms once a day. There are 4 different children added, in case you really like raising kids. Each one gives you a different item. Here's what it looks like if you catch the first two kids:

So, unless I get more messages about other glitches, I'll be returning to SnowBound this week. I'll be starting drawing the undressing animation frames.
