Go-Man | Update 26 - Model City 3 (Patreon)

Here we have the main setting of Go-Man - Model City 3.

Located roughly where Los Angeles once stood, this is the third "Model City" built by robots after the Earth was attacked by a space monster 50 years ago. It is designed to be easily repairable when monsters attack.

It is meant to evoke a sort of midcentury idea of the future. I've been looking a lot at North Korean architecture - I find that mixture of "everything is fine!" bright colours and optimism mixed with emptiness, conformity and fading very interesting. I want this to be both a fun and bright setting, while suggesting something darker beneath the surface.

I also wanted to give it the feeling of a City made by a child using toy blocks and cardboard boxes. This'll help sell the theme of the book, that Tobi is desperate to grow up but by becoming giant, he can finally play and act like a kid.
