Hey folks. I know you are all aware of the fallout I had with Nexus, by now. But there has been somewhat of a development.

I was going through Nexus tonight as I do every night - I like to see what new mods are up - and decided to check my mod list. For some reason, my Tutorials page (the reason for my distrust of Nexus) was back in that mod list. I have been able to un-hide it, basically make it publicly visible again.

I plan to leave it up for some time and see what happens.

If Nexus lets the page stay up, I will consider un-hiding my existing mods. My last public Nexus mod was my Powder Arcane eye makeup. So after that, everything has been solely on Patreon. If Nexus lets everything stay, and plays nice, I might have stuff to consider. It's tough, as I was really hurt by the taking down of the Tutorials page after it was up for about 2 years with no issues. But I miss the people I used to engage with on that site.

My Patreon will always stay up and active, I will always be on here and no matter what will keep up with commissions and people's supporter rewards.

The Discord will always remain exclusive to Patrons! WIPs and Updates will also be posted on here, along with stuff that Nexus won't be seeing. I can even consider adding exclusive variants of mods to my Patreon to continue providing additional content and incentives. And maybe even some other exclusive stuff. It's alot for me to think about, as alot has changed and this Patreon page has become such a joy to work on. I will never stop working on here.

I genuinely appreciate every single one of you. I might've stopped modding, without the support you've all so generously shown.

But what do you all think about this potential change?

Great news, fingers crossed it can stay public! I'm surprised you didn't get a notification or email. I'd almost be tempted to ask someone if the appeal was accepted, but maybe that feels like tempting fate... As a Vortex user, it would be very convenient if you did return to Nexus. Mirroring your (free) mods between the two sites would give you a backup if either site caused you trouble in the future. Either way, Patreon is still easily accessible, so the choice is yours.

I wonder if it has to do with Nexus being sold back in June. Maybe they are making changes to the rules? Regardless, it really sucks they did that to you! The moderation team is so weird, with how they, out of the blue they get all twisted up over a random rule, then pick one single modder out to harass for bending whatever rule they are focused on. Meanwhile, they are ignoring the 20 other modders doing the same exact thing. It's happened to other modder friends of mine as well, over things like sharing links so people can contact them to discuss a commission from them! They even jumped on my friend over linking his Twitter on his Nexus "about me" because in his bio on TWITTER was a link to his commission sheet! They were repeatedly DMing him about it and everything. So I totally get not wanting to depend on them if you have another option! Unfortunately, we don't have any other larger centralized platforms to share our mods on atm. We need to start up a tumblr community similar to how the Sims 4 has their Simblrs lmao! Anyway, thank you for still sharing your work with us here on Patreon! You're such a talented creator <3

If it’s an indication that the new owners have decided to reexamine what content is allowed on Nexus, and reinstate mods that shouldn’t have been removed, I’d say it’s a good thing. I also think your Patreon has given you a new outlet for your mods, a place to do exclusive content, and a more direct way to communicate with your followers. Having more than one outlet to depend on makes common sense

Good news :)
