Hey folks! Hope you've been having a good week. I am here with a very exciting mod; my first ever set of CCXL Eyes!

I have been watching the CCXL modding scene develop over the past few months, and have basically been frothing at the mouth waiting to see if CCXL Eyes would become possible. And here we are! This is a HUGE development for the modding community, I cannot state how exciting it is to be able to add stuff to the character creator.

As the template has 12 example .xbm files, I decided to create an original eye set for my first CCXL attempt.

This is because my other eye mods mainly take up the original 39 slots allowed by Unique Eyes, and that would require me duplicating certain files in Wolvenkit. So yeah, I wanted to take an easier route for my first attempt. Even then, I encountered some road blocks and struggled. But nutboy/brocreate, who is part of the duo that created the CCXL Eyes tutorial on the Modding Wiki, was super helpful.

They helped me troubleshoot, even directly taking a look at my Wolvenkit projects to see where I'd gone wrong.

Thanks to them, this mod exists. And I was encouraged to keep trying. I am now finding making CCXL Eyes is super easy, and I actually really enjoy the process. It is so cool seeing everything come together.

Okay, I've rambled enough. On to the mod. First off, I'd like to thank these wonderful folks who took screenshots for the mod; you'll see those in a bit!

Here's a look at these CCXL Eyes, and some of the awesome screenshots that those amazing people took, and submitted to the Discord:

(Note: Some shots were taken with an additional mod installed; this 3D Eye Effect Mod by sedTHS over on Nexus Mods. I highly reccomend this mod!)

As you can see, there's so many super talented folks over on the Discord! I am so grateful for everyone's shots. And this isn't even all of them; keep an eye out for the Mod Models Showcase, which will be uploaded soon after this mod post! You can see that I went with super bright, vibrant colours for these eyes!

I really love how they turned out, and it was super fun making the icons!

REQUIRED: Game Version 2.3 or above, as well as the latest version of ArchiveXL over on Nexus Mods.

Installation Instructions:

1) Download the Zip file from this mod page.

2) Put it somewhere on your Desktop/PC.

3) Open up the Zip file, and head to the main Cyberpunk Directory. On Steam, the file path is as follows:

steam - steamapps - common - Cyberpunk 2077

4) Drag the contents of the Zip, and drop them into that main directory.

5) You can now close that Zip, and boot up the game.

6) Head to the Character Creator, and go to the Eyes.

7) Scroll down, and you'll see my eyes with their custom icons!

And yes, they will work with the CCXL Heterochromia mod.

Going forward, my eye mods will all be CCXL. If there is significant demand, I might consider doing Unique Eyes versions. But yeah, CCXL is what I'll be using from now on. It just makes so much more sense to me, especially with it allowing us to have Custom UI Icons again. I can also make custom Normal Maps for the eyes, which creates super cool and interesting effects.

That about does it for this post! Thank you so much everyone for your support, and thanks for the feedback regarding the Nexus situation. And once more, thank you to everyone who submitted screenshots.

Please keep an eye out for the Mod Models post!

(The zip file titled 'READY FOR MOD PAGE' is just a collection of the Mod Page shots and Eye References)
