THEY DON’T WATCH ANYTHING THAT’S EVEN “HORROR-ADJACENT” – much less actual Horror – and you’re calling for some completely out-dated comedy where the whole movie is about a kid having sex with a pie? It’s the only film in the entire “Predator” franchise that’s actually worth watching. I was a kid when the original movie came out and have seen several times…the first Predator movie was never ONCE capable of making me care about its plot or its characters. PREY is one of those movies that might not have good looking CGI or anything, but at least there’s an actual straight forward story being told – with actual characters.

Ellie loves the Harry Potter franchise, (like billions of other people on this planet). I grew up reading the books & enjoying the movies growing up, but for what it’s worth, I read “The Hobbit” before the first HP book was released & have always considered it to be excruciatingly boring – and still do. Different strokes for different folks. C’est la vie. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The first Predator is a brilliant movie and a classic action masterpiece. I was invested in all the characters. Prey for me is the second best, which makes it still brilliant. I wasn't too irritated by the 100 pound girl fighting stronger Indian braves and the 500 pound alien predator as her character was done well and the film was entertaining. The grizzly scene was epic and chilling. I think in real life a grizzly would run from an unknown large creature.

Its not childish by the end. Kids are dying and it gets pretty dark. The ministry taken over by death eaters promising a 'safe and secure future' as they violate the rights of their citizenry while nasty people go along with it is a good allegory for the present time in reality.

True. But they are fantastic and perfectly cast and Cruella was hugely popular precisely because it is so damn good (winning Oscar for Best Costume Design). Yes there are many Devil Wears Prada similarities but so what. The score is perfect as well, all those hit classics from the 60s and 70s. So successful Disney is producing Cruella 2.

Snatch is a great movie but they are already glued to the subtitles on regular American speaking movies. How well do you think they'll do listening to Pikeys and having to read and translate English slang and miss the visual scenes? They've come a long way from a year ago but I'd give them another 6-12 months before all of them could appreciate the humor in Snatch.
