2021 Plan & Ideas (Patreon)

Hey everyone! First of all, thank you so so much for your support this year. I’m incredibly grateful to be in a position to continue my full-time job as a music producer through the nightmare year of 2020. With my main form of income (playing shows) completely eradicated with no sign of coming back any time soon, your contributions here have been vital for keeping my career afloat and I am eternally grateful 🥰

I have a few ideas for Patreon projects and content for 2021 so I thought I’d make this post to let you all know and to collect more ideas from yourselves.

First up: Patreon Mega-Collab

I’d love to make a huge collaboration with as many of you in here as possible next year! I’m thinking of starting an idea and posting it here with a handful of stems and details of tempo, key, etc. You all would be able to bounce back with your own additions and sorta mini remixes of those stems and then from there we could do a few exclusive streams where you can join and influence the development of the track as we go + send in stems live for me to add in.

I think that’d be a lot of fun and we could put it out on Rushdown with all of your artist names tagged so it shows on your Spotify profiles. If it’s successful it could be a recurring thing too. Thinking Whirlwind tier would be good for this since it’s the main producer tier.

Next up: Early Access to Merch

I already posted the first design concept we’ll be putting on shirts in case you missed it! We’re going to start limited runs of merch in 2021 and I’m thinking patrons of a certain tier and up will get early access and maybe some sort of discount code too.

Also: Plenty More Tutorials

I’m gradually getting down our initial list of requested tutorials. Some that are in progress are:

• How To Develop Your Own Signature Style
• How To Make Twinkles & Other Colourful Goodness: Part 2
• Patron-Submitted Mixdown & Mastering Tutorial (Likely to become 3 parts)

I’m always taking requests and ideas for new tutorials so let me know in the comments or in a DM on here!

Also: Exclusive EP Release (Maybe)

I have about 4 or 5 tracks from a few years back I wrote for a game project that never came to fruition. It seems a shame to leave those ideas behind even though they’re very different to my usual output as Chime. I’m thinking you all might appreciate hearing another side to my sound and so next year I might freshen up the tunes to put out exclusively on here as an EP 🥳

Finally: Album Previews

I’m strongly considering beginning the process of writing my debut album in 2021 since it seems like an ideal time to make it happen. I’m thinking of keeping details and previews of the album fairly secretive WITH the exception of you all! If I do decide to start the writing process you will be the first know and hear snippets of the album’s development.
