Another tutorial and it's a BIG one! Huge thanks to everyone for submitting their tracks for this tutorial and special thanks to Nelsn, who's track I chose, for providing stems and permission to root through them on camera!

This is the first session of mixing the tune and in this I analyse the original mix and take you through my process of cleaning things up to create impact and clarity with specific focus on drums initially before diving into a ton of more general tips to improve your mixes.

If you follow the link through to YouTube I've provided some timestamps for different areas to make things easier to navigate (since it's over 2 hours long!)

On part 2 I'll go through more of the intro and breakdown work which requires more subtlety and will finish off with my up-to-date mastering process.

If you missed out on submitting a tune for this I'm thinking of doing another tutorial in this style next year focused on fixing a track from a producer that's a bit earlier in the process of developing their skills. So stay tuned for that too! 💖
