I love how Running Up That Hill was progressivly changing through out the storyline. In the first episode of Season 4 it's Max hearing so depressed almost wanting to swap places to Billy. Then in episode 4 it's whatw bring her back ande holds her, and now in Season 5 it's her way back to herself and Lucas. 🥹

I agree with you they shouldn't wait the last season to bring the explanation of the Upside Down. They should have to intruduce this in Season 3, so we could have more time to explore this with more time.

I feel like there was a little hint that the Upside Down was a wormhole to another dimension last season and I didn't pick up on it either. When Henry is banished to the "The Upside Down" by El he is banished to a place that looks very different than the Upside Down and I didn't think too much about it. I just assumed that it was another area of the upside down or maybe the upside down had changed but now in hindsight I love this revelation. Because it makes that difference make sense. I also understand why it wasn't revealed until later. I mean there's really no way for the audience to figure this fact out until the characters figure it out. When you look at it that way, it makes sense because there was no way that the characters were gonna figure it out until someone smart like Dustin was on the case and this is the first time he's spent time in the upside down.

Yes it was a break up. I loved that scene and thought it was such a unique way to do it. I really thought one or both of them were going to die in that moment. The moment between Dustin & Steve was perfect. Seeing Gaten cry just breaks my heart. I really loved the version of Running up that Hill that they used in the final scenes. Holly is such a great addition to this show. She’s getting braver & braver as the season goes on. Lucas is such an underrated hero!

I love that scene with Max and Holly. I feel like it really speaks to the kindness and love within Max. Max wasn't about to leave Holly's side until she knew that Holly was confident to find her way out. Max would rather have stayed in Vecna's mind vs leaving Holly an emotional and scared wreck. It's such an emotional scene! The acting is amazing and the writing is amazing. Watching it I never felt like Max was in much danger from Vecna considering that Karen had destroyed those demodogs and also Vecna couldn't get to them because they reached this exit through a memory that Vecna was scared to access. So with that in mind, I watched it and took pleasure in the emotion of the scene and the special bond that Max and Holly had created during this time in Vecna's screwed up mind.

No song has been more important to a TV show than "Running Up That Hill". I can't even imagine the last two seasons of Stranger Things without it. It's the perfect song that adds emotional weight to every scene it plays in.

Don't worry, you're not the only one that was confused with whether that was a break up or not 🤣 But yes, it was a break up. It was basically them saying they love each other and always will, Nancy saying she never liked Steve like that and the unproposal. The scene was beautiful. Everyone was saying to Max and Holly the same thing - "RUN!!" 🤣 I understand she had to help Holly find her way out too, but after that they should've ran right away. Come on, Max, it's your hundredth time here, have you not learned your lesson yet 😭

That Steve and Dustin hug breaks me its so beautifully done and Gaten acted so so well there can really feel his emotions and how he feels Steve too he understands that dustin loves him so much and he cant just cant deal if anything happens to him. Well that was a breakup scene the first time i watched i was so confused lol. Still a beautiful moment between them. I love holly she instantly became one of my favs this season, the actor who plays her is so freaking good at such a young age like wow hats off she along with Derrick if we go by the new characters / actors this season. Loved all her interactions with Max it was so emotional seeing Max give Holly hope to go on... Holly needed to hear that and ofc with running up that hill its always extra emotional and this instrumental version hits hard. I knew you would get emotional with Steve - Dustin staircase scene this ep and you got i cried again along with you :( Also your so right ST are so good at emotional scenes between characters.. just 2 more to go OMG cant wait!!
