So excited to watch this one! One of my favorite childhood films.

Nessa

Yay, finally! I can’t wait to watch this later today after work 😊

Kevin Karst

Voldemort? Do you mean Ralph Fiennes? He's not in this movie.

Mike Briere

dammit ...you are right...lol....for some reason I always mistook his father for him

Kevin Karst

Ah, okay. No problem, I often mistake actors for other actors as well. 😅

Steveo

Yeah they do look alike.

Maurice

This is one of my favorite movie endings of all time.

Edo

He's the guy from Titanic that was asking the ship captain to make the ship go faster to reach NY a day earlier hehe

Mike Briere

That's where I remember him from! I was just watching her reaction to that video the other day.

Ricardo B,

Hadn't watched this one since it came out, but it holds up really well. And it's great to revisit the great Robin Williams.

Edo

If you guys haven't seen it, SNL did an amazing Jumanji sketch when Kirstin Wiig was guest starring lol.

gigi

great reaction sofie, every time i see a robin williams movie i can only think how lucky we were to have him!

Nessa

01:42:25 Even your puppy was shocked with the plot twist lol. Great reaction Sofie, as always! I watched this movie so many times as a kid and i love it to this day.

Edo

Jumanji is an incredible childrens/young adult fantasy adventure movie! I saw it when I was around 11 so I didnt find it that scary but i can totally see it being that way for younger kids! Its just such a well-acted and nicely paced and scored movie that I think Disney and the other animated film studios could learn a thing or two from. As someone who works in the animation field, I find a lot of western animated movies too formulaic and safe. I think Jumanji shares a lot of similar general plot points with Disney films for example, such as growing up, family or parental loss, the hero's journey, learning life lessons, but it's presented in a less generic and predictable way. For example Peter and Judy acting as young versions of Alan and Sarah (and they as their stand-in parents) was a nice touch but also not beating you over the head with it. Also how the game completion brought them back in time to 1969 as nice little plot twist. Seeing Robin Williams in this film is just so sweet and sad. I'm glad you enjoyed it! I was waiting for that ending where the kids are speaking French at the end just to see your reaction to it lol.

A great reaction! Thanks for watching this one. I miss Robin Williams so much. If you’re looking to watch more of his movies, I’d suggest Mrs. Doubtfire or Disney’s Aladdin (1992) if you havent seen either.

Jeylee107

Really love the movie and enjoyed your reaction:) The only part I dont like about the movie is Peter and Judy not remembering, even though it makes sense. But they wouldnt remember anything at the end of the movie anyway. I mean, in their timeline the game happened after their parents died and this didnt happen yet (and wont because of alan and sarah), so even if they could remember any of it, I imagine it wouldn't happen until after the same day they played the game. I'm sorry if this doesnt make sense, I'm bad at explaining

Bruno Thug

the new jumanji is garbage compared to this

Edo

LOVE both suggestions. Mrs. Doubtfire is just soooo well-cast and Robin is just ugh...incredible...just incredible. So many quotes me and my siblings use from that movie.

Randy Giles

I haven't watched this since I was a kid. Still just as good as I remembered.

Macs

I get what you mean but its literally magic "I ain't gotta explain sh*t"

Kevin Karst

Strongly disagree. I hope Sofie will watch the new ones too. Most people really like them, and I'm sure she will as well.

Belthazor82

The new Jumanji movies are different, but still super fun to watch. I'm quite sure that Sofie would enjoy them.

N

I haven’t watched it since I was like 7 or 8 and I am 25 now and honestly I don’t remember that it was this heavy I always remember as a joke and fun game I guess when you are a child you have deferent view. I hope you watch the new movies totally different vibes but so so much fun I love them so much

Cameron

They lost all the seriousness of the first entry. Completely agree. If anything the only spiritual successor to this is Zathura.

Olivia

please react to Jumanji welcome to the jungle, its my fav
