Bad news, guys… 💔

Unfortunately, Friends 6x01–02 and Charmed 6x18 are not recoverable. I tried everything to repair the footage, but the videos are completely unwatchable.

Right now I have two options:• Upload the reactions with audio only (with the episodes playing)• Rewatch and re-record the episodes when tech problems are fixed.

Please vote in the poll and let me know what you prefer 🙏

On my side, I’ve completely changed my workflow to make sure this doesn’t happen again...new SD card, new camera cable, and a new SSD hub are all on the way and should arrive at the start of this week.

I’m really sorry about this… I know it’s frustrating 😔 thank you for being patient with me 🤍

You’re the best Sofie! Don’t sweat it

Jeez You Scared Me!

I'd rather have a genuine reaction with audio rather than rewatching something you've just watched with video.

Butters

Damn, that sucks. But imo there's no point re-recording, the reaction wouldn't be spontaneous. Plus it's more work for you. So you might as well just do audio

Alile

So torn! I can’t decide if I’d rather hear your initial reaction without seeing your facial expressions, or see your facial expressions but not get your original reaction. 😂 I guess seeing your facial expressions if they’re not showing your initial reaction wouldn’t be quite as fun, so… audio. I think…? 🤦‍♀️😂 I’m so sorry for all the trouble! Thank you for trying to recover the episodes. 💜

Joey Tribbiani

Yeah, don't worry about it, Sofie. The problem has been addressed, and a solution is on the way. Don't give yourself more work, either: audio only will do just fine.

Nine3x

Audio please I’ll listen to it at work.

Triene

I’m so sorry how frustrating. Audio only is great though I’ll miss your amazing expressions 💕

J White

danggg two great episodes.. still excited to hear your audio!

letseatapples

Just upload with the audio, no need to worry about it.

Thomas

Yeah audio will be fine. Thank you for trying

Vlad

I'd vote for a rewatch and re-record. The visuals and facial emotions are a big part of the experience, and it'll make for a proper YouTube video too. Since YouTube is about 6 weeks behind, you don’t need to rewatch right away - by the time it goes up, it'll feel more natural. And for those who prefer the genuine first-time reaction, the original audio could still be shared here as an extra. Totally up to you tho - if you don't feel like rewatching in a month, that’s completely fine too. Thanks for all the hard work! 💜

I know how hard you work for us, and how high of standards you set for yourself, so this must be very frustrating for you. Just know that you are such an amazing reactor that gives such great content, that we all support you through this! It sucks for sure, but don’t sweat the stuff out of our control. Good luck with the future ones, and thanks for trying so hard to fix it!

Jeremy G

It sucks to not be able to see you on video, but I'd rather listen to the audio that has your genuine first reaction.

Miloš 🇷🇸

Ok with just audio if it’s getting uploading tonight :) if not, okay with rewatch and rerecording.

Allison

All good! This must have been so stressful 😵‍💫 Audio for anyone who wants it and we won’t rat you out if you need to re-record for your YouTube channel 😉Right, everyone ?? 👊

Stellar

It was great with just the audio! I don’t want to minimize your stress and anxiety and the job that you have by calling it not a big deal. As I realize that it is your work. But I hope no one has given you a hard time about this and that you have given yourself grace and not beaten yourself up over this. I just watched the friends reaction with just audio and you’re so great that I barely even noticed the visual wasn’t there. You’re great at what you do and I love the adjustment you were able to make by just giving us the audio. It worked out! Appreciate your dedication. I know we are paying customers but please remember to also have fun! You have the best friends reactions🩷

Sorry to hear about your technical issues. Since you do not require a mobile set up, have you considered tethering your camera to your computer and having your camera directly write files onto your hard drive? This will cut out the need to transfer files from an SD card and cut out the need for a card reader/hub. You won't have to worry about failing SD cards, unreliable card readers, etc. And you can relegate the SD card to a means of backup for your work. Aside from changing your workflow as I suggested above, a simple practice to reduce the likelihood of file corruptions would be to format your SD cards in camera. It's also good practice to do so before the card reaches max capacity. And, personally, I do so after every complete file transfer.

I do connect my camera to my computer as I use my camera's software remote viewing but Sony a6600 software doesn't have automatic transfer option. I can just record and see myself so I have to do it manually with a transfer cable but the thing is when I checked the folder the videos were not there as if they were not recorded. I had to use recoverit and repairit programs. Recoverit was able to recover the video but repairit couldn't fix the glitches.

These things happen, Sofie. Don't beat yourself up. We appreciate you being here and having this community to come back to. You're one of the best reactors out there. Truly.

TonyfromGuam

Ah. Yeah the a6600 does not have that capability. Alternatively, an option that could work is something that I do for my church's livestreams: I use an HDMI capture card to send the camera's signal to my computer on a program called OBS. Aside from livestreaming, OBS has the capability to record as well. Here's a link to a video that explains the process and coincidentally, the creator utilizes the sony ecosystem as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSoXIg7aPwA
