The actor, who played the bald demon, which looked familiar to you, also played the Source in season 4.... Also: Did you notice/Do you remember that the Avatars were also part of the storyline around Cole in season 5, with the same main actor at that?

NAV

The Avatars appeared before in S5 when they tried to recruit Cole. They seem to target powerful beings in great turmoil because it is easier to manipulate them into joining their cause... except for Cole, who was too obsessed with Phoebe, of course.

as everyone mentioned here, Avatars tried to recruit Cole in season 5, remember when he tried to change reality to be with Phoebe again?

Ugh, the Avatars, or rather the fact that Leo, or anyone really, falls for their utopia bs, pisses me off so bad lol. Like the whole "good vs evil fight is baaad, we are just power and that's the better way" spiel reminds me so much of what the evil Wyatt from the future told Chris - "That's always been your problem Chris, stuck in the old good vs evil morass. I'm so past that. It' all about power."

Wow never noticed that parallel between the Avatars and Wyatt but it fits perfectly! I do think these Avatars truly believe in their cause and they’ve brainwashed each other for it… but I think they’re coming from a sincere place… we’ll see how it unfolds and what Sofie will think.

I can’t believe they scored Tony Todd to play one of the Avatars in season 5, wish we got him back this round too.
