This episode, ugh😢 fun fact: The actor that played James is the actor who plays Joel originally in the game! Such a great cameo!

I knew the preacher was a perv as soon as he mentioned he was a teacher before and seemed to be so nice to Ellie & eager to gain her trust. He also loved the fact she was capable, a leader and violent if need be. David just got worse and worse, especially when he started saying Ellie a child, was his equal & needing a "friend" "partner". Ellie/Bella Ramsey in this episode was oustanding in her performance this episode. I was hoping you wouldn't be decieved at all by David, you started to realise tho when David was determined to "save Ellie" yes he went creepy very quickly, predators like that are usually perceived as really nice guys or preachers. Thankfully Ellie ended him before he could do anymore traumatic damage. Daddy Joel shows what a true father is when he finally find his baby girl.

I'm not a gamer, but I heard from friends how great of a story this game was. So 5 years before this show debuted, before it was even concieved to be a show I watched all the cutscenes on youtube. It was like watching a movie. So when this show was about to debut I told one of my co workers about it. She's an immagrant from Bulgaria and I got her to watch Game of Thrones, Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad. So she fully trusts me in my suggestions. I told her about this one and she balked because I told her there was a zombie/infected aspect. I told her that is just the environment, the story is about the people. And I told her there was one moment when I watched the cut-scenes from the game that left me in utter ugly cry's and I hoped beyond hope they'd leave it in. I told her, you'll know it when you see it. Every week she came to me, "Was that it?". No, no, It's not till later. And then this episode. "It's okay...It's okay, babygirl." It once again floored me into tears and the next day I went to work and she just looked at me with zero doubt. No words. And I just said, "Yeah, that was it."

The last 5 minutes of this episode is one of the best last five minutes of any episode I've ever seen. BTW - not sure if you picked up on it, but the four 'raiders' they ran into at the end of episode 6 were the people David told Ellie he'd sent out. The one who stabbed Joel, then got killed by Joel, was the girl's dead father from this episode.

This episode is only bearable to re-watch because of that "baby girl"

Oh man, this is such a good episode - the ending makes me cry every time. Bella was absolutely incredible in it - they have been nominated for an Emmy for this episode (and Pedro has been nominated for episode 6). I actually met Bella Ramsey and Gabriel Luna (Tommy) at a UK con this past weekend… I totally gushed to both of them at autographs about how much I love the show and how great they are in it :P. Now I just need to meet Pedro Pascal too, and my life will be complete :). I’m not a gamer at all, and I’m not really a fan of post-apocalyptic or zombie-type shows, but TLOU is literally the best thing I think I’ve ever seen on TV (and I told Gabriel as much on Sunday). I couldn’t wait for season 2, with the risk of spoilers, so I watched playthroughs of both games on YouTube a few months ago :P.

This is by far the best episode if you ask me. The scene with Ellie and David was insanely well played! I can't remember any scene that felt so real as here. David with his creepy attitude and Ellie with her fear and trauma. Another thing that I like about this episode is that in all the 9 episodes Joel caries the burdens for both of them. But here he is injured so you see for the first time what she truly is capable of. Because in the others Joel always tries to hold her back because he wants to protect her.
