Here's a short little example of the orchestration work I've been doing. I'm showing the different layers and then showing them all together. First a little cello part, then female choirs on top, a little viola + synth arpeggio layer, percussion layer, brass and woodwinds layer, special FX layer and finally all of them together. What do you think? :)

p.s. And of course there will be a METAAAAL layer on top of all this!

Nice dark atmosphere. No doubts this is going to be epic!

Jari working in Multiverse or Upside down? Harnessing the power of two Jaris! :D Anyways, want more of this along the way! Sounds epic!

I can already hear that the next album will be heavy as balls!!

More orchestral videos! Your style and compositions are unique, compared to most other composers and artists out there. Please release the isolated tracks for the upcoming album (and eventually for Time II)

More!

How do you choose a key to work on what scales/modes to use? I always get frustrated with this. Let’s say I want to write something in Hungarian minor. I look up the scale and then what? How do I compose music around the scale? For some reason my brain doesn’t comprehend this part of music theory. I don’t know how to apply it. It’s like knowing words in a language but not knowing what to say. Kinda like a poet. You know the words a poet uses but you my not be able to write poems. That’s how I feel.

Incredible! I guess it depends on context, but which part of the orchestra do you normally start with when you are composing it? Do you have a specific order in which you compose to layer the instruments? For example, do you start with the lowest instruments such as Cello/Bass, percussive instruments such as timpani/hits/cymbals, main melody instruments such as brass/woodwind/viola to communicate the main melody idea, or the atmospheric textures created through SFX/choirs/pads to create a basic soundscape to build upon?
