We're setting up at the stunning Corfe Castle for an exciting day of archaeological discovery. Come and join us tomorrow in the Dome, where there’ll be hands-on archaeological activities, flotation demonstrations with Naomi, guided walks, behind-the-scenes talks, and even a live storyteller to bring history to life.

And don’t forget… dressing up is highly encouraged!

Don't I wish. But, alas, 'tis a bit of a putt from eastern Washington State (USA). Have fun!

Wessex-Wyvern

Gosh, that promises to be fun! Good luck with the weather, hope it all goes well.

Elessa Wylde

Alas, even further from Western Washington State, even with an international airport across the river. Have a great time everyone!

Mikael Larsson

Alas I can't join you there. But it would have been fun. Best of luck with everthing and to those who can make it, enjoy!!

Scott Graupner

Flotation demonstrations with Naomi? Who did she turn into a newt?

Gloria Carbaugh

Looks like great fun, but the drive from the US would be a bit much. Enjoy!

JanD

Yes, in my dreams. A bit of a slog from Maryland...

Terri Brown

Sounds so fun. Alas, I am too far away, but I will be there in spirit. I am always one for a bit of dress up! Can't wait to watch and see who Naomi turned into a newt ;

Alas, living in the Antipodes precludes attendance, or I’d be there in a heartbeat. Have a wonderful time and post lots and lots of pics. Love the dressing up. Hi Mick.

Well, I also attended the non-Time Team event that was also for the Festival of Archaeology at The Salisbury Museum (today 27th July). Jackie gave a talk (that I missed), though I chatted with her later. But I did catch up with Time Team favourite Phil Harding, who gave a talk on the Erlestoke Prison dig. I spoke to him afterwards. Ì did ask the question 'Would you consider returning to Time Team even just for a special?' Sadly he responded 'No, I did 20 years, that's enough'. So there we have it. Though I understand he is still friends with Sir Tony. It was disappointing but I respect his response.

Is there any video of this event? Corfe Castle means a lot to me, various kingly ancestors of mine lived there as dud Mary Bankes whos a 4th cousin and I so wanted to see this on video.

Janie Waters

At the moment, Dayton. How we ended up here is a long story and we can't wait to move to the west side again. LOL

Stephanie Greene

Looks like Time Team is off to a RenFest. Someone past the mead please! Also interested if was there a video of the event??
