We're super excited to be releasing our newest episode this weekend 29th November at 7pm GMT on Youtube!

In this episode Derek and Lawrence tell the story of the ‘Mortar Wreck’, the oldest shipwreck ever discovered off the English coast. Over a period of three years, the intrepid duo have gone to sea to observe diving on the medieval wreck, and witnessed beautiful carved marble artefacts come to the surface after 800 years on the sea floor. Having followed these finds through the conservation process, the show culminates in the launch of a fabulous new shipwreck gallery at Poole Museum in Dorset, where Derek and Lawrence come face to face not only with artefacts from the Mortar Wreck but also a 2000 year old log boat, carved wooden heads and even a submerged euphonium.

Love the extended coverage. It's not just the dig anymore!

It's Thanksgiving here in the US. I am grateful for the joy of Time Team!

Great way for us Americans to get ready for the day

Great! Just as an aside does anyone else miss Dani’s Time Team News? I used to love that little segment - Dani’s seasonal chats with Naomi were great too, would love to see them again.

The pictures of this little ship remind me of the German Hanseatic League merchant ships that I saw in Bjorn Landstrom's book, "The Ship". If it isn't one, it looks a lot like it.

Great "dig", amazing finds, and what a museum. Wonderful to see such a marvellous asset to the town of Poole. After Cerne Abbey, that's two consecutive episodes from my beloved home county of Dorset.

Nice video, but I really would prefer to see more 'traditional' Time Team episodes. Very little substance to these ^ types of videos. Also audio production values are lacking. Don't mean to be negative but when I see 'New Episode Alert!" I expect Time Team, not a vlog. Little bit underwhelming

Really interesting programme. It's amazing how well preserved the remains are. I was looking at a 13th century grave slab just like the one they raised in Thruxton church the other day. It's just leaning up against the wall in the base of the tower. The one from the dive is in much better condition!
