The digging continues on Orkney at The Ness of Brodgar. Martyn Williams meets the team hard at work in the trench.

Dani Wootton thinks she might have made an exciting discovery and even John Gater seems to be pleased with progress. Are we any closer to understanding what the mysterious structure might be?

Dig Watch is the only place to get to the heart of the action on site, with regular updates from the trench. The dig's made possible by you, our Time Team members. Who would you like to hear from next and what should Martyn ask them? Let us know in the comments.

It will be great for dani if she has found some art

Simply Nancy

Wasn't it warmer and more forested back in the day?

Carol Overrill

Well obvs you need to talk to Jackie. Has she found evidence of burning, or.....?

Time Team

I did say when the circle was found that it was probably a house. Will I be👌?

Carl Johnson

It is, it isn't, it is what a roller coaster of emotions.

DIANA R NELSON

Love to see Dani so excited. I hope it is a piece of art.

JUDITH COOKE

Hope it’s a good find, Dani.

Norma

So delighted for Dani that she found what she said the other day would be a dream find!

Tracy Poole

Oh, that weather looks just lovely to me...sitting here in Albuquerque, NM and counting the seconds until winter. ::sigh::

Elisabeth

Dani's bubbling excitement is infectious! Martyn is a very good host. It's a challenging gig, given that he has to keep it interesting without giving away anything big that is being saved for the finished episode.

Shelby

So 3 out of 4 say yes, how do they resolve it? What happens now?

Tara Northen

Brilliant update thanks, we visited in week 1 the curiosity and excitement was so infectious that we signed up for Patreon. It has been wonderful to see the dig evolving and the camaraderie of the team. I hope there’s a chance for further exploration of the site in the future as John said only a few days left now!

Bob Greaves

The layout of the stones almost looks hexagonal or octagonal in that shot at 12'40" (?)

Brooke

Excited for Dani! And I think Lucy had some really insightful observations, I like her!!

Jenny Lambert
