Some of you might have guessed correctly that this is Time Team's excellent 3D reconstruction expert, Raysan Al-Kubaisi!

Raysan now lives in New Zealand with fellow Time Team regular, Brigid Gallagher, and their family. We're thrilled that both Raysan and Brigid will be lending their expertise to the new digs remotely.

Look out for our wide-ranging interview with Raysan this Sunday on the Time Team Official YouTube channel. Until then, here's an exclusive preview, as Tim and Raysan discuss some of the possibilities...

His enthusiasm for archeology, in this case, the mosaics he mentioned is clearly genuine and endearing. Glad he’s agreed to jump into the mix, at 3am.

Bob Pockney

Brilliant to have both Raysan and Brigid.

Freda Bradley

How is it Raysan looks so YOUNG? Is that NZ water that good? He's got such enthusiasm (and mad talent!!), I can't wait to see more from him.

Rebekah U

I can't get over how kiwi his accent has become. It's so cool! So glad to have Brigid and Raysan both involved ❤️

David Bania

How wonderful to be a fly on the wall with these conversations!

Kevin

Bit disappointing that you only have a small clip of the video on the patreon site, then referred to the YouTube channel. However, what I have seen so far is really insightful.

Super interesting to see remote work working. :) I also would've liked the full interview to be here actually, I don't really get what the point of that is.

Hi Vincent, there are many more Patreon exclusives on the way, which we hope you're going to love, including thoughts from the Originals on the Iron Age settlement, more catch-ups on previous digs, insights from the various experts, and also more polls to get your feedback on various aspects. We can't wait to share these things with you that are currently in development. In the meantime, we wanted to provide a little preview of what's also coming up on the public channel as an additional extra. Watch this space for more to come!

If nothing else, like everyone else effect of New Zealand water interesting. But also recognise that two parts of a partnership complimenting each other is always worth the trouble. Double plus value.

Raysan - check out Unreal Engine for it's capabilities.

Ellis Coombs

Exploring ancient UK buildings on my Oculus Quest 2, that would be amazing!
