Great Discussion! Thank you for these excellent presentations from the Time Team members. More please...!

Giles Brown

Seems like Time Team is adopting some MCU / Star Wars style branding for its offerings. Can we expect a Mandalorian style spin-off too? :D

William F. Campbell

This is going to be a wonderful, interesting summer! Keep it rolling, Time Team!

Irene Daly

I can’t wait for the dig to start!

Chris Rubeo

Those floors were breathtaking. Can't wait to see what happens next. Cheers.

Robert Wise

Thank you all! I am enjoying watching this new Time Team coalesce! Is there any way, or hope even, of estimating or identifying how much of the surrounding land was used by the villa inhabitants? The size of the property… Another wish I have would be to find out what the villa owners were doing with the property … livestock, mining, timber production, quarrying …? Were there ever cooperative links between villas?

BC

Great stuff, thank you!

Philip Stack

Thanks to all for an excellent discussion. I will be very interested by the approach that looks at the villa as a hub in the local economy, and any evidence of post-Roman activity would be very interesting. Hopefully GPR will permit the diggers to target drains etc to follow up on Carenza's point about the valuable samples that might be found.

Freda Bradley

I love to watch how the professionals work and think about things. It has really expanded how I also think about my local landscape today.

Michael Schneider

I'm really impressed by the steady stream good content being produced by TT as the reboot nears. Also, I'm not sure if John looks like a grumpy Santa or just Grumpy from Snow White!! LOL.

Robert D Weiser

Warms the heart just to be able to listen to you all again.

Tim I have enjoyed these tea time chats very much ,great idea! Since you are pretty much running the show how about hosting the series or would that be too much. Just a thought ,thanks for reading my post Farmer Rich.

the polish dude

Tim are we ever going to see Phil Harding in this reconstruction of Time Team ?

Susie Stockton-Link

Can't wait for this to start in earnest. Really fascinating to listen to all the different strains of thought and expertise come together. Roll on part two! Ooo, thank you so much for such interesting content . It brightens my days; it really does!

John Matthew IV

Great to learn how much work goes into planning a dig. People just don't show up on Day One with shovels.

Kevin

Really good to watch the clip and get an insight on conversations that often go on behind the scenes. Can't wait to see the dig.

JUDITH COOKE

Thanks everyone for this introduction to the site. It will be fascinating to see if it delivers anything unexpected and whether it lives up to expectations. Can’t wait to get started!

Sharyle Doherty

It’s very enjoyable and interesting to listen to all the planning that goes into a site before the dig begins. I feel like I’m getting a backstage glimpse of the mechanics.

Eggs Ackley

As a bearded fellow myself, I must agree.

Forrest B. Boothe

Great discussion! Getting to know Tim through these discussions has been fantastic. We could not find a more capable guide for this journey.

Dr David Horton

Great to see and hear the gang again. And a potentially great site.

E Anna Johnson

What a great site and an interesting process. Such a big and wonderful topic. Definition of Management Strategy (As in Business Speak) very close to what you are doing. In same way as digging heals those with Mental Health Traumas. You dont realise what you can learn until you start measuring it out.

Hillfort Games

Great stuff. Really enjoyed this. Being a northerner expat living in Canada, this brings me so many memories and wandering through farm fields with my friends in Cheshire. Don't stop doing these in exactly this style.

Jakub Jůzl

Thanks for the video and a big thank you to all the people here who helped it happen. 🫂

Andrea Hadlington

I am a huge fan from Canada who stumbled on this series quite by accident and was hooked instantly. It’s almost therapeutic to watch these digs and I have watched many episodes repeatedly. Can’t wait for the new digs and proud to support the projects!

Heidi Howell

Rewatching time team has kept me sane post operative 👏

Christian Kollross

Hi, is there a way to download that villa's geophys result?

Robert Jeffrey McKeon

Amongst the general dross of today (with the sole exception of In Our Time of course), what a delight

Christian Kollross

Hm, a PDF. If there's any way, it would be fantastic to get raw data and full scale images for past and/or upcoming digs. A git repository might be a good storage space, if you have any question on how to use that, I'd be glad to help!

Chris Ward

It was Turkdean wasn't it that they found post holes in the mosaic? I always wished they'd talked about that more on screen. I had this picture in my head of someone coming along during the Dark Ages and setting up a temporary camp inside the ruins of a Roman villa.

David Haapala

Love watching these little brainstorming sessions!

Nicholas Whitsun-Jones

Very interesting discussion as always. Particularly interested in Carenza's point about the end of the Romano-British period being later than previously thought - something that has fascinated me for a long time i.e. how or indeed was there a transition from Romano-British to Anglo Saxons or a period of co-existence or what?
