We know that many of you are just as eager as we are to get the new digs underway. Of course, putting Time Team together is a huge undertaking but things are developing behind the scenes, with many key aspects falling into place. We are on track for filming as planned in September – and we can’t wait!

Tim has just returned from a site visit to the Iron Age Settlement in Cornwall, where he spent time with the fantastic local team on the ground. We’ll be sharing more of this very soon. But we wanted to give our Patrons a little sneaky peek right away!

So here is a brief, fly-on-the-wall preview, while we put the finishing touches on this update.

We have lots of other exciting developments and new videos on the way to look forward to, so thanks again for your support and we hope you enjoy it!

Thank you so much for taking the time to put together and share ALL of these glimpses into the unfolding rebirth of Time Team "back in the field". Your time, energy and thoughtfulness in creating all this high-quality bonus content and getting it out to those of us who so deeply enjoy all that Time Team us but can't be there to dig with you is massively appreciated. 😊 So looking forward to this site, and more!

Thank you so much for sharing this with all of us here and for all the time and effort it took to put this piece together. I know in Genealogy it takes Days, even weeks some time to get just a bit of a history on a branch of my family so this is very much appreciated. I remember, as I am watching the 1st and Original Time Team Episodes and watching how they found the 1st one, the length of time it took to get down there in all the muck to bring up the bones and other finds they did, so this is gonna be awesome. Again, thank you.

Trudy G D'Armond

Norine Nagle

I am excited to see this site as a working project.

The above is about a campaign to protect archaeologicaexploration of sites about to be redeveloped.

Love the new Time Team: we are part of the process all the way! Treats show up in my email at random times. Yay!

Martha Berryman

FOR Mick the Dig--thank you! Great discussion. Today 7-05-2021 found this in Writer's Almanac: Today is the birthday of American astronomer A.E. Douglass, born in Windsor, Vermont (1867). Douglass became interested in a correlation between solar radiation cycles and the growth rate of trees. Through his studies he founded the field of dendrochronology — a method of dating wood by growth ring patterns.

Kathryn

Agree! Very exciting to part of the process from the beginning, and getting to come along for the ride.

TimeTeamOfficial

Hi Martha, we will be talking about dendrochronology in greater detail with another expert very soon...

I look forward to see who the next “Phil Harding” of the new time team emerges. Both he and Professor Mick were what drew me to the show and kept me coming back. I’m even more excited to join the new excursions, because of the lockdowns, I’ve watched the old ones so many times I know the dialogue word-for-word 🤣🤣
