We have an incredible Christmas treat coming your way!

We are offering all supporters on Patreon exclusive access to join some of the original Time Team members for a LIVE online panel event.

*** MONDAY 20TH DECEMBER @ 7PM (GMT) ***

REGISTER NOW for the chance to hear the team discussing their highlights of the last year and what they are most looking forward to in 2022.

Plus, throughout the event, you will get the chance to submit your best questions to the panel of Time Team experts to discuss and try to answer LIVE! 

This relaxed, informal event – our first live stream since launching Patreon – is not one to be missed. So look out your Christmas jumper if you have one, grab your tipple of choice and a mince pie, and get ready for plenty of Time Team banter...

Working well both on phone & pc but just to let ou know when casting to tv via Google stick does not allow panning around on tv while it does still on device screen ...

Thanks for that info. I am a HGV driver. Start work at 0800 on Monday. There maybe a chance of me finishing before 7pm. It depends on what run I get given.

Umm, to register is there ‘sposed to be a fee for a Crowdcast account?

Crowdcast registration privacy information was not too clear and seem to over expose personal info. Will listening later be by the existing Patreon site or also Crowdcast?

HOPE I've registered, but am not sure. (I also don't like being asked for personal information etc...). I'd just like a button that says "Register me !". ... I'm really good with quills, but technology I am not.

It will just direct you to log in to your Patreon account to access the live session. There’s no additional fee though.

Hi, you have to register as an attendee for the event to gain access (it will direct you to log in via your Patreon account first). It will also be available to replay if you are unable to watch it live.

Hi Raven, if you click on the main image link at the very top of this post it will direct you through to the Crowdcast page where you can register. Hopefully there will be a green button in the top right corner of your screen 'Save my spot!' Click on that and follow the on screen instructions. Have to give credit card details for Crowdcast even for free 14 day trial. Not happy about that tbh…

Replay how and where is the point. U.S. privacy laws are very weak compared to the EU, Zoom has had issues, no reviews of Crowdcast mention its privacy levels or mechanisms, and there in no info on "no resale or sharing" as is the norm in registration.

Question: Crowdcast (1) wants a lot of info I'd rather not hand over, and (2) suggests that after 14 days (free), I will be expected to pay. I'm paying for TimeTeam and don't want to pay for Crowdcast on top of that. What gives?

I would love to see the event! Like others here, am not willing to share all the info with crowdcast. Is it the only option?

ATTENDEES do NOT pay. The free trial thing and pricing plans ONLY apply to people who want to try the service to host their own live events. When you sign up, do it by linking your Patreon account instead of creating a Crowdcast account—if you create a Crowdcast account, they'll think you're someone who wants to try hosting your own live events to test their service, so of course they'll want your credit card info for that context. The Patreon integration is a backend thing to get around this and also ensure only Patrons have access to the event, and helps Creators who have Patrons set up their events in a way they can see the basic info/profiles of the Patrons who came to watch—it's the same info as they can see about us here on Patreon, and the integration just borrows the info so they can look it up via their Crowdcast dashboard. It's a little bit similar to being able to sign up on websites via your social media account instead of creating new accounts every single time.

Hi John, I often watch talks put on by Historic Royal Palaces. At some point after the talk is over it is available to watch a recording so I’m hoping the same will happen here. I went ahead and registered so I’d be able to see it if there is indeed a recording

Hi, It sounds like you might have been using the wrong link trying to sign up to one of their plans. You don't need to do this. To attend an event via the link above, you should only need to register with an email and name. There is no fee. We hope you manage to watch the re-play ok.

Technical gremlins happen, especially on a first time event - Shame couldn’t join the live chat. Sadly the re-watch button also throws up the same error message :(

Sadly, I’m not going to watch bc Crowdcast wants my email and more data about me. I would prefer to watch this through Patreon, rather than giving more personal information away to yet another web service. Thanks for listening. And happy holidays.

Hi Katherine, we're new to Crowdcast, which is Patreon's recommended service for live streaming. In order for them to integrate together, they need to share some basic information, but we appreciate that this doesn't work for everyone. Very much enjoyed this. Nostalgia had me thinking of the ‘Much Wenlock Christmas Special’ 😁. Easy to access the service, only issue I found was screen freezing occasionally, which meant missing snippets. Minor issue, didn’t detract from the enjoyment. Seasons greetings to all!
