There are many logistical challenges we must face when putting together Time Team, some quite unexpected – for example, John Gater's propensity for muscling his way into every scene.

And so this brings us to our latest Word of the Day: The 'Gaterbomb'. We know, it's not big, it's certainly not clever, but it's just a bit of silly Friday fun to get us through to the weekend.

In all seriousness, we will be hearing a lot more from John Gater in the weeks ahead, with the release of the new episodes and the results of our recent surveys at Sutton Hoo.

Needless to say, we'll bring you the exclusive lowdown on John's results directly from the man himself.
