Here's Derek, Lawrence and Tim at the end of Day 3, reflecting on the weekend, while also looking ahead to that all-important third site. Tim reveals some more exclusive details of the theme we are exploring.

So, that's a wrap for our Norfolk dig – all finished!

Except, it isn't really finished at all, because we have so much more to come from what was a rollercoaster of a weekend...

What else is in the pipelines? We've been treated to:

A fascinating musical masterclass with Dr Sam Newton (oh yes, there's more!)

Fieldwalking with Philippa Walton and Paul Blinkhorn

Community test-pitting with Dani Wootton and Carenza Lewis

Q&A sessions with Helena Hamerow, Jackie McKinley and John Gater

A digger driving masterclass

An inspiring chat on supporting local archaeology projects with John Gater and Hilde van der Heul

More 3D models

Aerial footage

Post-excavation insights

So, keep with us on Patreon as the action continues.

Due to the nature of the process, there are certain details that we can only reveal after the event, so we'll be sharing much more context and analysis in the weeks ahead.

Knights Hospitaller Preceptory

What's more, we're getting ready for another bumper weekend featuring coverage from our earlier dig: a Knights Hospitaller preceptory in Shropshire.

The location, site and archaeology had a very different character compared to the dig that has just happened, so get ready for another three days of Time Team action!

Thank you so much again for all your comments, suggestions and ideas – we do read every single one and feed this into the process to help make it as great as we can.

Looking forward to everything that is still to come out!

Carol Overrill

Yes, we need to see Paul, missing in the dig watch so far.

Jill Bray - Author

Amazing to hear from Tim - and great news about a possible Dig 3! Don't worry, we will keep supporting you as long as you want to keep digging. On top of what you've done this year I'm looking forward to more great digs next year. The new format really works. Keep digging!

Matthew Rice

Looking forward to more content from the weekend!

Mark GB

Thanks for your hard work

David Boon

Now that list of things to come has got me excited.

Kerry Hennigan

I'm loving it all. I hope there will be a Dig 3 for this year, too!

Janet Sutton

Thanks for a great weekend. Can’t wait to see what’s yet to come.

Ann H

That "afraid of what's behind the scenes" comment? Let us know when appropriate. We are protective of TT.

Patricia G Gerresheim

With all the missed takes over the years, is there any chance of a blooper reel?

Robert Wise

Connections between America and Britain? Ok, as I’m living in America, now I’m curious!

Wendy Young

Thank you - cant wait to see the program on this site!

Pamela Langridge

"Somewhere in Norfolk" got mentioned a few times this dig. Do you try to keep the locations secret? Are there archaeological reasons for this? Or, is protecting the privacy of landowners a consideration?

Brian Shrum

Day 1: Archeology? Where? Day 2: We got archeology! Day 3: Um, help, we got too much archeology! Classic TT

Mary Lu

It’s a real treat to be part of this. Keep going, keep on digging!

Stitch

Thank you, Tim, for confirming a third dig this year. Very good news, indeed.

Steve Mikre

I'm so happy to hear a third dig is in the works...

Ann Wagner

You guys, all of you, are the best. Thank you! I can’t wait to see more!

Ann Wagner

And I love the Britain-America link! Shall we get to see and hear from Mick the Dig, who is living in my home state of Maryland?

Sharyle Doherty

Thoroughly enjoyed this weekend’s content. Looking forward to more!

Eelco Kruidenier

I can hardly wait to see the shows on YouTube.

TimeTeamOfficial

Hi Pamela, we do have to keep some details underwraps during filming for the reasons you mention... plus it keeps John Gater's legions of fans at bay.

Jakub Jůzl

I'm having a crazy time at work but nobody's taking my Time Team sessions away. :) Especially this wrap up, the spoil heap with Gus and the last trench walkabout were all top notch. Thank you! As for the third site, Britain-America connections - seems interesting and perhaps a calling for a less conventional episode, those always were something exciting and fresh during the original series.

Jakub Jůzl

Now that would a Patreon exclusive. Perhaps something for the very end of the year? :)

Jen A

Yay! Dig 3!

Elise Norwood

Tim Taylor is so gracious about thanking all of the Patreon contributors. Mr Taylor, I think I speak for more than just myself in saying: Thank you for creating Time Team and bringing it back. It is an honor and a privilege to support you and all the people who work so hard to bring us so much knowledge and joy!

Michael O'Connor

Allow me to echo Elise's comment. I'm usually very skeptical of resurrecting a show but this one works marvelously!

Jude Edling

Thank you Dig Watch and Time Team!! I'm thrilled that the 3rd dig has developed from a wish to a remote possibility to actual research. I'm so looking forward to the announcement that it is really happening.

Carl Johnson

Very thrilled to hear of the 3rd dig and looking forward to watching all the upcoming content.

Gary Mortimer

Maybe its just me but I didn't really enjoy any of the overseas TT's

TimeTeamOfficial

Hi Gary, we're looking at UK based sites, with a connection to the US. More details to follow soon.

Peter David Brown

What happened to Day 2 content? Nothing appeared on my emails or You Tube feeds - is it just me?

TimeTeamOfficial

Hi Peter, not sure what's happened there. The Day 2 content is up and live in the feed below. You can also search 'Day 2' using the tags at the top of the feed. There's a morning intro, Site Walkabout and end of day wrap currently available, with more to follow. Thanks

TimeTeamOfficial

Thank you, we're delighted to have you on the journey with us!

Kay Theriault

Oh, juicy teasers! Can't wait to see what all you're going to share from previous digs and whatever else comes from this one. :)

Mary Barber

Wasn't this dig 4 not 3?

Justin T Donie

I love Dig Watch and can't wait to get home when I'm out doing things to see what new video and text are available from these wonderful collaborative efforts. I've watched all the originals at least once, many 2 or 3 times, I've seen all the new episodes so far and happily look forward to more. Keep up the amazing work and great spirit. It's truly inspiring!

Marybeth Poleck

All this is great Patreon content - very appreciated!
