Am I the only one who has been hanging on the Patreon website this weekend waiting for new updates? Well done everyone - I can't wait to see more 'sneak peeks' of the dig.

David Boon

Really enjoyed the small tasters we have had over the weekend and hoping those Q&As are not too far away. The trouble is when you get those little insights into the dig it leaves you wanting more.

JUDITH COOKE

Thanks to everyone for another great dig. The behind the scenes coverage has been excellent. Waiting in breathless anticipation for the release of the episodes ☺️

John Murray

I thought that the mighty Paul Blinkhorn had returned to be involved in this dig? No sign of him on the photos though. 🤔

gary hipkiss

next dig is when? or did i miss the date for it?

James Leighninger

Paul was there! His FB page has photos of his “work station” set up inside a little church!

"Diggers in the field, I love me Diggers in the field. I see them standing there and wait for what to dig..." Why do I have the tune from "Strangers in the night" in my head? =)

2026-09-08 22:00 It's been a great weekend of behind-the-scenes coverage, well-done everyone that made it happen. Please keep it up, no, let's see way more please! More from Steve the DoP/stand-in Cameraman, more from the sound guy, the transport team, and more from Hilde and the other not so well known diggers..... please remember that us Patron'ers are not the big production company bosses, we are the 'little guy', and although we love our archaeological celebs we know this would never happen without the guys and girls behind the scenes!!

I have 2 questions, they probably have been answered but will ask again, 1 When are you going back to the Roman Grave Site, 2 have you decided on the 3rd Dig. Tks

Ann Wagner

Gus said she is busy promoting her new book.

Simon Orchard

He has and has been posting on social media, but i was also hoping for a spoil heap interview with the pot guru

Chris Siegmann

I thought the overage was a bit thin this dig. Understand the previous dig, no issue there, but there seemed to be much less coverage than the two digs last year. Was that deliberate or just the way things worked out?

John Murray

Yes, I knew he was there via social media, but a shame that he never appeared on any of the TT Patreon posts.

Robert Boudreau

I am just amazed at how complex the cameras have become. They look more like something NASA would be launching to the moon. I've often thought when the weather turned appalling and Tony would be telling the viewers how terrible it was for the diggers, there was a camera crew and probably more also having to endure that weather. I agree with what Jenna wrote elsewhere here. It was great seeing and hearing from now 30+ year TT camera and sound veteran Steve. How about some of the other people who work "behind the scenes" that we never actually see or hear.

Denise Jones

I love the behind the scenes footage we can get. I like hearing from the people we don't get to see in front of the camera.

Graham Stokes

Thank you. Good hearing from all involved and seeing the folk who make it happen.

Steve Mikre

Already looking forward to Time Team 2023!

Mark & Jill Jefson

Thank you all for your hard work and that which it still in progress. we really loved the Mick quotes. His legacy lives on.

Lacy Oden

Great photos! I speak for everyone (probably…idk) when I say “More!!!! Please!!!” 😬 I even found my name in the flag in the last picture which was fully unexpected but I’m on the top line in the M. Loved seeing these photos of the camera people at work. Excited to see the previous dig here soon. Thank you again Patrons for helping make this happen. Together we make amazing things happen!

Jude Edling

This is finished altogether too soon. Thank you Time Team!!!!!

Richard Linley

Great job! Is there anywhere we can get a detailed look at this year's flag?

Mike Lowndes

Quite a lot of the crew are also on the flag, near the bottom. I assume that means they aslo contribute. Could not find myself.

Anne

I agree! This was my first dig weekend as a Patreon (it would have been my second if the previous Dig Watch had not been cancelled) and so I cannot compare with last year but I don't really think it lived up to the Patreon promise. I had anticipated a weekend of engagement with the unfolding archeology. By the end my thought was Dig Watch? What Dig Watch? I'm happy to have contributed towards enabling the dig to happen but the Patreon online experience has a way to go - and it needs to get there if Time Team is going to engage a new audience for whom old media really is a thing of the past.

James Mason

why haven't we heard from Carenza. Carenza is the main person I enjoy seeing learning from on Time Team.

TimeTeamOfficial

We've recorded some lovely pieces with Carenza, test-pitting with the local community and also on our Site Walkabouts for the Knights Hospitaller dig, which we'll be sharing very soon.

Tom Gooden

Good work everybody. Heart warming to see Time Team back again !😊

Tom Gooden

Hi TT. Is the proposed third dig going ahead this year ? Thanks

Marilyn Wright

Can’t wait to see the results as it feels like you uncovered many exciting finds.

TimeTeamOfficial

The might Paul Blinkhorn was indeed with us to share his amazing pottery insights and good humour! The Patreon posts are still ongoing, so keep a look out for Paul and other team members to follow...

Patricia Amero

I've flipped the flag image, zoomed, adjusted light/contrast etc and can read the names shown, but I still can't find my name. Is there another flag with more names on it or an image of just the complete flag(s)?

Penny Ewles-Bergeron

Just binge watched everything from the weekend and it all looks incredibly promising. Wonderful to see TT back in action and to see how it's developed and become even more info and tech-rich without losing any of its charm.

TimeTeamOfficial

Hi Chris and Anne, the coverage hasn't finished - it's still ongoing with much more to follow.

TimeTeamOfficial

Hi Patricia, we have a full high-res of the flag coming up shortly.
