Grimalice exist to spread hatred and pain, and the mere presence of one is enough to cause division and violence. Don’t be fooled by their adorable appearances—for such small creatures, these Imaginal-born kitties can hold a staggering amount of hate in their hearts… making them nearly indistinguishable from normal cats.

Beacon of Hate. Grimalice naturally radiate negative emotions, inciting conflict among anyone unfortunate enough to be nearby. Those exposed to this distasteful influence rapidly lose their inhibitions, spewing hateful thoughts out loud and  escalating minor slights into acts of violence. As soon as blood is drawn, the jinn leap into the fray, ripping the wounds—both physical and emotional—even wider as they revel in the saturated negativity.

Torture Taming. Despite the hatred that grimalice have for literally everything, they can be trained to follow and obey a handler. Rather than rewarding desired behaviour with food, however, prospective jinn-binders must ruthlessly utilise the suffering of others. A convincing demonstration that the tamer can cause more agony than the jinn, usually through torture, mass violence, or complicated tax law, is enough for the feisty feline to accept its new master and follow along contentedly.
