Weird 90's Doctor Who Playset | Ashens

Massive thanks waft in the direction of Elliot for supplying this beauty - https://www.youtube.com/@TheRetroFuture It's the Doctor! Y'know, the one with the scarf who everyone over the age of 35 thinks of when Doctor Who is mentioned. (I think he's pretty much the only classic Doctor shown in the USA, thinking about it.) ANYWAY. His most famous foes are the Daleks, essentially horrible space maniacs in personal armoured vehicles that have a sink plunger for an arm. And back in 1997, you could buy one that contained an entire playset! Even though the Fourth Doctor hadn't been in the show since 1981! And the show had actually been cancelled 8 years prior! Further proof, if it be needed, that time means little to a Time Lord.

Now I have that song stuck in my head!

From what I can see, the little Doctor Who looks to be holding a silver ice cream cone.

It's actually lead, and he's feeding it to the Dalek.

The ol' bribe a Dalek with an ice cream cone. Actually I can see Tom Baker's Doctor doing that for some reason.

Alessandro Perlini

Ah yes, Little Tony inside a Tardis, as I always remembered

Sam Parsons

The Doctor's holding a microphone. This set is based on the plotline where the charity single 'Doctor in Distress' is used to destroy the Daleks through exploding their ear drums.

Babycat

The Doctor looks like an Auton.
