Happy Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday!

Apologies for the delay in getting this devlog out!

I’ve had some meetings I needed to attend that took up a lot of time last week, but those are done now!

We realised that the sealed-with-a-kiss jam is happening in January, not February (I’m almost certain it was February last year, unless my mind is playing tricks on me!) So we’ve been scrambling to get that done. It’s looking promising! If you want to play a quick, enchanted story about toxic relationships, keep an eye out for our submission before the end of the month!

The jam comes with another announcement. Those of you who know Crowbie and Ur-Majesty know that things have been a bit chaotic on their end, dealing with work, life, and the extraordinary challenges we all seem to be facing in different shapes and forms. In lieu of all this, they’ve taken a step back from writing. It’s not a new decision, as 2025 had been particularly challenging, but it is now official.

It’s not all bad. They’ll still be around in the same capacity as they were last year, so it’s not a farewell!

On that topic, I’d like to officially welcome Neon to the team. They’ve been writing for Infinite Stars for the last three months, and we’re excited to have them officially join the team! Neon is also the reason why we are still able to take part in the sealed-with-a-kiss jam this year! <3

I hope you are all doing well, and that your New Year's resolutions have been sticking! (mine has! yay!)

I want to take a moment to ask something simple, but serious: be kind. I know I say it every week, and repetition can water down the meaning. I don’t want that to happen.

Most of us meaningfully interact with a dozen or more people each day. And for almost all of them, we have no idea what they’re carrying. Grief, stress, fear, trauma, the quiet kind of exhaustion or despair that doesn’t show. So set your default setting to kindness. Then go a step further and be intentional about it.

A small moment, be it patience, warmth, a sincere “you good?” or “but how are you really doing?” can be the difference between someone feeling invisible and someone feeling seen. Over a year, those tiny positive blips add up. You’ll probably never know for sure, but your single positive blip could be the reason someone makes it to tomorrow, so someone else out there still has a brother, a mother, a best friend.

Be that positive blip. The world could use more light right now.

(Before anyone asks, I’m good. Thanks for wondering. But so many of you, and so many people you see each day, aren’t.)

So that’s me. Apologies for the out-of-character rant. Have a productive week, and be kind!
