Hey everyone, here's the print I'm sending out for May's package, it's going in the mail today! Everyone who signed up for the Riso Print Subscription should be getting a shipping confirmation email soon. I'm sorry these are so late! The Risolab is open for the summer now so I shouldn't have any trouble getting this month's print out to you all on time.

Here are more shots of this print and the process! Still thinking of a name for this one...I've tentatively named it Summer Dragon, maybe that'll stick? I'm always the worst at naming these prints haha. Hmm...maybe something about picking fruit...hmmm

This print is a three color combination of blue, fluorescent pink and yellow, printed in that order. I'm not sure if you can tell but I grabbed a lot of design details and colors that I figured out in the Maker's series...especially the orange tree from the baker print in April's package! And the blue from a potted plant in the carpenter print. And the basket from the weaver print!

This month I'm also adding a color chart for this kinda faux cmyk, blue pink and yellow combo. I'll add images of that in another post so it's easy to find later! I hope it's going to be useful for me printing with these colors, and for you too! I'm going to be buying a machine soon so I'm trying to figure out which limited colors I should start off with and it's probably going to be these three because I can make most any colors from them.

I wanted to draw this one because the only dragon I've drawn for Riso has been a dead one! So I'm happy to have a dragon friend, rather than a slain one, on my shelf now. I also just wanted to draw a suuuuper pink dragon with a border inspired by old book covers...plus I wanted something summery! Hope this one gives you some warm summertime vibes.

I wanted to take a moment and say thanks so much for everything! I'm able to pay most of my rent from this Risograph subscription now so I'm basically just working on my graphic novel The Nutcracker, which is due late July, and these Risograph prints! It feels so good not to be stressed out about money and know that a majority of my expenses are taken care of with this. I honestly don't know what I would've done without it. Thank you so, so, so, so much and I hope you're enjoying all the Riso work and other ramblings! Please let me know if you ever have any questions.

Talk soon!
