June's Patreon Print! (Patreon)

Hi everyone! June's print is shipping out this week! Inside this package is a dreamy girl taking a break from her favorite book with her friends snake and bird haha. They probably aren't her pets but just sweet animals that feel comfortable around her, and she around them. I like adding animals I'm a little afraid of ( like snakes and spiders!) because there really isn't anything to be afraid of, they're just living their lives and are only scary when threatened. This girl just wanted to have a little tea with her friends in nature and added some lanterns so she could stay out late at night. I love images where the character is  having a quiet moment under a favorite tree, I hope I'm not abusing that concept but...I just can't help it. I've been wanting to add more lanterns to drawings lately...maybe I'll make a nighttime scene next to emphasize the lanterns!

This print is a 3 color Risograph print in Blue, Pink and yellow, three colors I'm looking to own once I buy my own machine. I'm trying to get an ME or MZ, or at least a duo drum machine. More on my hunt soon! I haven't really started looking yet but I'm starting to ask friends what I should look out for and making lists of what I want and where to buy from.

This print took me a little while to tweak, I probably wasted about 12-15 masters getting some specific values in the tree and space below the girl right. And countless sheets of my nice paper! I always test each pass on my natural white paper to make sure the colors are working on my final paper that has a tinge of yellow compared to the solar white test paper. I also always make sure I have more paper than I think I'll need for my final prints.

Also in this package are two little prints with some random favorite things on them in bright colors! They can be used as small thank you or memo cards for friends...I don't really know what they're good for but they're a nice little size that I'm enjoying! thinking of doing a set of these and selling them maybe?? I'll have to get the size right but for now I hope you enjoy these little silly cards!

Thanks so much for your support and thank you for your patience on the delay on this print! Nutcracker is in the final stages and deadlines are bonkers right now. Can't wait to share more on that soon!

Take care,
Natalie
