History lesson time. The OG doctor who aired November 23, 1963, the day after JFK was assassinated. The first episodes were over shadowed by that and not popular, and there was even talk of cancelling. Then the second set of stories introduced the Daleks. Instant success story, kids were in the street, everyone was saying exterminate. And they’ve been the main enemy ever since and responsible for the show’s popularity.

It's been under a decade since I learned there's people who hate Rose Tyler and I have had to learn to accept my possible Billie Piper bias. I still can't hate her.

It wasn’t until season two of this show that someone informed me that it’s technically more marketed towards children and then a lot of things suddenly clicked into place lol
