"Ethan Wate longs to escape his small southern town. He meets a mysterious new girl, Lena Duchannes. Together, they uncover dark secrets about their respective families, their history, and their town."

You can take the girl out of the South Side, but she will always be a Gallagher.

Its those square frame glasses. So very 1980s Superman Clark Kent.

Whether it sounds believable or not, it is what she's asking for? So, I totally understand why he agreed, even if he probably knows she's lying to him. Its her choice.

1:35:00 - Their charming banter is so natural feeling. They really did a great job making the romance feel naturally teen-age-themed, the awkwardness, the stumbling between topics and emotions. And, just, well done.

I do feel like some of the story lines never resolved themselves. The plot with the jesus-freaks didn't really go anywhere and was there for mostly shock value, the arc with the town kinda ended right after Jeremy Irons was done making his declarative statement about her going back to school. I also felt that the climax didn't climax like a climax should for something this big of stakes being driven by the movie's plot and dialog. It felt very underwhelming compared to the build up that teased a bigger climax.
