"A truck driver is pulled into Chinatown conflict after a friend's fiancée is kidnapped by sorcerer David Lo Pan, forcing them into a hidden war of gangs, magic, and prophecy beneath San Francisco."

Kurt Russell fights a Chinese sorcerer in an alley while wearing pirate boots...and nobody told me?

Hell yes! This is one of my favorite movies from my childhood, I watched this movie incessantly and just loved the world building and characters involved.

Yes!!! This is exactly what I need to lift my spirits right now. This was in my top 2 favorites as a kid along with Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The three storms were actually the inspiration for Raiden. The guys who created the game were fans of the movie.

3:40 in the youtube video...legit.

Do I know how to pick them or do I know how to pick them >:).

I think for the 1980s, the effects hold rather well. The lightning effects especially.

This movie I think falls within the genres of contemporary fantasy. Magical forces in the modern/normal world. An early preview of shows like Grimm or Buffy (Humans know nothing usually).
