Great reaction to a fantastic episode, Josh! I agree- very much reminds me of Cold Comfort from series 2 in the way it's shot. Dorothy Atkinson and Vinette Robinson as Sheila and Val were great, and you'd recognise Larry played by Adrian Scarborough from Psychoville, Josh - he played Mr Jelly's nemesis and rival clown Mr Jolly! Larry's response was utterly insane and irrational, especially as he didn't know the truth, just what he convinced himself as the truth. I'm a dog lover but he's a maniac! Haha! I deplore nosey neighbours as most of us do and this episode encapsulated that feeling so well!

I love the creativity in what they attempt with these episodes. Ways to tell a story. Points for the intended effort. However, I've had this issue before where they allow the theme to overtake the logic of the characters. Where it fails atrociously for me. Is the blatant omission that supposed community minded busybodies wouldn't have a clue what doorbell cameras are. If you are prepared excuse that as generational, because one can. You then must also be prepared to swallow the likelihood, that someone with one. Wouldn't take 5 minutes to check the footage when people you don't much care for, are found lurking about your house in the dark. We see this structure in the writing from time to time. Where the signposted outcome, we as viewers are all meant to see coming. Tries to subvert expectation from the setup. But those middle acts 2 - 3 are a bit flimsy, as we traverse from a good solid setup to the twist at the end. These are the problems with having a twist centric formula that you try to deliver repeatedly. Some hit and some flop.
