That nasty bruise the one girl got on her leg was NOT makeup. She actually slid in that dress/uniform during filming and legit came away with that bruise, which apparently took months to fully heal.

I definitely noticed her in the charm school scene. Had to rewind it to make sure it wss her LoL. I expected her to be on the peach’s team, but they showed her a lot later first baseman for Racine. Even the credits has her as named 1b.

This is one of my favorite Movies ever. My Teams always sang Battle Songs to get us pumped up. I really liked the part in this Movie, where they showed the African American woman throw the ball so hard, because there was a lot of segregation still going on back then, which was totally unfair. Even when Jackie Robinson was playing in the Pros, restaurants wouldn't let him eat in there with his Team. The World was and still is such a cruel and evil place. If African Americans had been permitted to play in the Majors from the beginning, there would have been a great chance that Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Ted Williams, and many other Greats would not have been the Record Holders, because there were so many African Americans that were absolutely great at the "Game". I was a huge Baseball and Softball player. I was always on the Major All-Star Teams. My Dad was my Coach on some Teams. He taught me everything about the "Game" and the love for it that I know. I was a great player (This is one thing I can brag about, because I was really great...Lol...) My Dad was actually going to try-out for the "Majors", but he decided to further his education instead. He was a Catcher, until his knees got really bad, then my Dad became a Shortstop. He was the smallest person in the League, and hit more Out-Of-The-Park Homers than anyone else did in his City. I would always overhear older people chatting about my Dad as a Baseball Player. I also set that Record. I will never forget about the first ball that I hit over the fence. I was 12 or 13. I hit it way over, and I cracked my Titanium Bat (You could see the crack in it). The Umpire said "Well, I'll be dam*ed". My Dad did have a ball that was signed by Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, and the whole "Yankees" Team that year, but it got stolen. I even named my Golden Rstriever, "Yankee", at that time. Of course, that Dog whom I loved so much is no longer with us, because that was 3 Decades ago. Now, I have a Dog named Anakin. I was usually a lead-off switch hitter, that played Shortstop, but I was alao a Relief-Pitcher. I also played in the Outfield (what Position I play on a certain day was due to the opposing hit the ball...If they had a lot of Long-Distance Hitters, I would play in the Outfield or Vice-Versa). I had experience in all Softball Positions though. In some of our Tournaments, we played 5 games per day. So, when people think "Double-Headers" were tough, try playing a "Quintuplet-Header". I would be in the sun for so long, my arms would turn Super Dark Brown. And, I was literally around 1-2% body fat, 90 lbs., and 5'1" or 5'2" (I am 5'4" now, and I definitely have a way bigger percentage of body-fat...Lol.) I miss those days so much. It was the funnest time of my life. We even got the Gold Medal in the "Bluegrass State Games". I was always making crazy running catches that were over the fence, diving and sliding into the bases, diving for balls, and making Triple Plays. I hit Out-Of-The-Park-Homers, but due to my speed, it was also rather easy for me to hit In-The-Park-Homers. I was always the fastest on my Teams. And, I always played the best under pressure, so other Teams definately didn't make me nervous. My Red Softball Helmet had my name, Erin, airbrushed on the front, and it had a picture of Speedy Gonzales, with the word, "Speedy" airbrushed on the back. My Daughter is keeping has possession of my helmet at the moment. My Dad would always say, "That's my Daughter", to everyone around him. In that Tournament, we all knew that we were not going down without that Medal, even though we were playing against huge Cities like Lexington and Louisville, where most of their players were 6' tall. We took I was going to try out for the USA Olympic Softball Team, but I got into a major Depression. I am from Kentucky, and I now live in Colorado, but I used to live in Evansville, Indiana. They filmed this Movie at Bosse Stadium (Bosse Field) in Evansville, Indiana. I have been to that field many times, and I used to hang out at Garvin Park everyday. That Park was right beside the Stadium. I hated Evansville though. Sometimes, at night, deep in "REM" Sleep, I will dream about my Softball/Baseball Past Life, and those are the happiest, most peaceful, most amazing dreams on Earth. I have a lot of Night Terrors (I am even on Meds for having them), but almost every single time that I have a pleasant dream, it is about playing Ball. I will always be a New York Yankees Fan, and my favorite player was Derek Jeter, until he had to resign. even though I met Berry Bond's Little Brother, and I met Jose' Canseco's Brother, Ozzie Canseco, (He played for the St. Louis Cardinals). I didn't meet Jose', but I saw him play when he played for the Texas Rangers. When I was a younger kid, my favorite team was the St. Louis Cardinals, because Ozzie Smith ("The Wizard"), played for them, and he always did that "Signature Backflip" in the Shortstop Position. I saw Ozzie Smith hit his next to last Home Run of his Career. I truly miss the "Game". This Movie, makes me miss the Softball/Baseball Days of my Childhood. I also played Soccer, Basketball, and took Karate, but Softball/Baseball was always my favorite. I practiced daily with my Teams and One-On-One with my Father in-between Team Practices. The speech Jimmy gave to Dottie, before she cut-out on her Team, was so true...It was for me anyway...The "Game" was my Heart, and it is also true that, if the "Game" was simple, everyone would do it. Jimmy gave up so much of his career, due to drinking, and would give anything to play just one more day. I didn't give the "Game" for drinking, but I did over Mental Illness, and now I feel so stupid, because the "Game" made me truly happy...I should have done anything to stay active i Softball/Baseball. For many years, I thought that Dottie dropped the ball on purpose in the end of this Movie, so that Kit could experience being the best, and so that Kit wouldn't be embarrassed, but I now know, that Dottie unintentionally dropped the ball, and Kit actually beat Dottie for once. When I played, it was my entire Life...Thank Goodness, I did not have to play in a skirt though...🤣... FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS, NO MATTER WHAT!!! 🤩⚾️🥎🧢🥇

I always thought that Dottie dropped the ball on purpose, but she didn't. She would not have called a time-out (when Kit came up to bat), to tell the Pitcher to throw High Pitches. Dottie wouldn't have hurt her Team intentionally. Kit just got lucky on that High Ball for once, and she got lucky that Dottie dropped the ball (she had to knock her off of her feet to accomplish that. Regardless, of Kit winning the Game, if I was the Coach, I would let them celebrate for awhile and then get on to Kit for not following his directions, because she could have lost the Game, due to Sibling Rivalry, if Dottie had held onto that ball as usual. NOBODY IS PERFECT. QUITE SIMPLY, DOTTIE FINALLY MADE AN ERROR, AS EVERYONE IN THE GAME DOES AT SOME POINT.

You are extremely rude. I have every right to speak positively about myself on a subject that I was really good at. Therecis a lot that I am not good at, but Baseball, Art, Academics, Writing, etc. are a few things that I excelled in. I have Bipolar, Chronic PTSD, Anxiety, ADD, OCD, Epilepsy, and I had a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). That is not even mentioning the tons of physical health problems I have, one of which causes extreme pain, pretty much forcing me to stay in bed all day everyday isolated from all human contact. My husband doesn't even compliment me. I am not able to go hang out in town or take part in other adventures. If I don't say something nice about myself nobody will, so I will be positive because I don't want to become suicidal. It says that in the End Days, hearts will grow cold and turn to stone...well, you are a perfect example. I don't need your input. You will not make me feel any different. I am 43 years omd, and if I want to say that I was good at something as a child I will. Why do you even care? You must not have been shown love as a child, and now your mentality is stunted...It shows because you definately act like a child with your little, petty, ridiculous "Blah, Blah, Blah" comment. If all you want to be is negative and hateful, you shouldn't have even commented. I don't let people like you ruin my day though. I feel sorry for people like you and sometimes I laugh at childish people, but it is not Christian to laugh at people, so I try not to. I will pray for you because it seems as though you really need it. I really wish people like you would stop spreading hate around the world.
