I had such a love and connection for this movie. I played baseball from age 4- college ball. When I was little this movie came out and we all mowed and maid our own baseball field in the empty field in our neighborhood. When I was 17 I had to move to Kentucky for my dad’s work. I got to try out late for the baseball team and not only made it but made a bunch of friends to where when the after Christmas break took place a lot of the “ cool guys” not baseball players didn’t like me cause I had a girlfriend and a couple friends already. They tried to square up with me in the hallway one day and we got in a fight. I got hit, hit him back swung at by next but dodged it and just put a shoulder into that one and knocked him down. I squared back up and the entire baseball team that I had just joined came running and throwing fists and shut that shit down quick. We went on to win the schools first district and regional championships. It’s hard to say but it was probably the best year of my life outside of college.

When Benny is being chased by the Beast they keep playing clips from The Wolfman (1941). I don't know if you'll ever get to the point where you're reacting to classic monster movies, but The Invisible Man (1933) feels VERY modern and fast paced for being 90 years old. Same with Frankenstein (1931) and Bride of Frankenstein (1935), then you can watch the parody Young Frankenstein (1974).

Yo that card was a Hank Aaron card that Babe picked up. He said Henry Aaron but same thang. I was always lost on why he said “i dunno why but can I take this?”… as a kid. But Hank Aaron broke Babe’s home run record 1st.

The Sandlot is an under appreciated film. Its market was my genre when it released. Young teen/pre-teen. Heavily male perspective. Ultimately a great film. The unjustified sexual assault by Squints, yeah it’s an arguable flaw. I was 13 when this movie released, I am now 44. In 1993, I still thought that was not cool. They deserved to be kicked out and were. This movie has a lot of great scenes. And even the tobacco scene, kept me from partaking until I was 18. Movies were made different in this time frame. Great reaction.

Yeah, this a great Movie as well. Me and my Dad watched it a lot, but nobody can knock "A League of Their Own"...That Movie is awesome The people saying this Movie beats that one, are probably dudes that are too prideful to admit that women can be great at anything they put their minds to, and if they're mentally strong...Don't get me wrong though...This is a good Movie too.

Crazy fact: Mike Vitar (the guy that played teen Benny), was actually the real Brother of Big Benny in the Pros at the end, who's real name is Pablo Vitar. Pablo Vitar died very young from Colon Cancer.
