Been a long time coming. For anyone who missed the story, Isaac Hayes left South Park and then issued a statement (likely not even written by him) calling Matt and Trey bigots for ripping on scientology, the stupid little brain-scrambling club which made Isaac quit the show in the first place. This episode is their retaliation/farewell to Isaac Hayes and Chef, as well as another F-U to scientology (which is a stupid club).

God I knew this episode of south park was going to appear, an absolute sad one.... I'm sorry Leo... I loved chef and not too long ago his son Issac Hayes III, said that his Dad didn't quit the show. Scientology did. He mentioned this in 2025 of July. I would love to see his son in the south park show, as Chef Jr. ❤️ Plus some funny backstory of how chef Jr was born would be fun in my opinion. I heard they killed off chef. Isaac Hayes is a scientologist and took offense to the scientology episode, or so I heard. I've been waiting for the WOW episode this season. Can you watch the current episodes also so I don't have to figure out where else to stream them? Thanks

Isaac Hayes did not quit. he was on medical leave and a couple of people from the church of Scientology took matters into their own hands. rather than call him up, Matt and Trey took their word for it

Hey Leo just a heads up, there's a 4 Part Series of episodes this season that are basically they're own south park movie, and are quite hard to find uncensored, so definitely consider posting those all together, it flows a lot nicer and are very important to the series

Yeah this is definitely a tough one for sure, and while I do think Trey Parker and Matt Stone went a bit extreme with their write off of Chef, it all stemmed from very personal and hurt feelings with Isaac Hayes, he was a very close friend and supporter of theirs and had stuck by them from the beginnings even when a lot of parties tried getting South Park cancelled, but due to Scientology, and the exposure Trey and Matt Stone did on them over the years, they soured every part of the relationship between the 3 guys, which we all now know was against Hayes back, they spoke for him, when he couldn't even form a sentence himself, and made it seem like He was betrayed by the duo, when in reality, it was just Scientology trying to save face for themselves.

season 10 hype, there is alot of misinformation out there about this episode, some comments here are spot on about the situation, just know that trey and matt respected the fuck out of issac and at the time there was alot of emotions and misinformation , they went hard on issac because he was always down with bashing christianity as chef but when it was dealing with his ''religion '' he quit, so matt and trey went hard af. rip issac and chef

He didn't want to leave the show but he had a stroke and Scientology quit the show for him. The Super Adventure Club is Scientology and they were pissed at Scientology for making Chef quit so they were calling them out saying they were brainwashing people.

I remember when he left fans of the series were pissed off that he left South Park, they were mad at Trey and Matt. They made this episode in response to fans outrage and because they lost a friend due to satire on his religious beliefs. At least this is what I remember from the time and my own theory about it. I think they were hurt that their friend for 9 years left them and this episode was a response to the fans and him. Ultimately they are mad at Scientology for brainwashing their friend.

I think South Park is really hitting Scientology in this episode, comparing them to the Super Adventure Club since Isaac Hayes was a Scientologist. South Park is saying Scientology is a brainwashing group. You can tell they really like Isaac but the Scientology criticism created a problem.

ill break it down for you Leo, Isaac Hayes had a stroke, THEN they aired the trapped in a closet episode. His scientology "managers" quit for him and posted some bullshit. Trey and Matt thought it was genuinely from Isaac, but it wasnt, it was the scientology assholes. And then later, his son came forward to tell the truth behind it. So yeah, fuck scientologists

Ahh yes, the episode in which Matt and Trey show us what happens to hypocrites on their show. Isaac Hayes was totally fine with how irreverent and insulting the show was towards every type of person and belief system...until they made fun of his religion. Then suddenly they've gone too far? He was being hypocritical, so Matt and Trey handled it.

Hayes did non of the voicework for this episode - his dialogue is stitched together from old episodes because he "quit", when in reality he was fucked over by his church
