I think Michael disagreed with “Dunder mifflin showing disrespect towards it’s employees” because HE treats his employees with respect(somewhat lol) also the lack of Dwight in this episode makes a big difference

Okay Leo, just think about this… 1. Jan gave up Michael’s diary, his most personal thoughts, to everyone without discussing it with Michael. 2. Jan asked Michael to lie for her. 3. Jan gave Michael shitty Performance Reviews after they were a couple. There’s a pattern here. Everything above proves that Jan doesn’t respect Michael at all, and she obviously doesn’t love him. She’s using him because she needs a place to live since she has no job and no money. If Jan won $4,000,000, she would leave Michael that very same day. Michael got this right, “You expect your job to screw you over, but you never expect your girlfriend to screw you over.”

I think what michael did was good, in a way, if dunder mifflin had lost 4 mil, they might have shut down the scranton branch or something for budget cuts etc, so he could have saved the office in a way!

Jan is the WORST, but this goes back to also being Michael's fault. They're BOTH using each other. Jan needs him until she gets back on her feet and Michael is using her because of her boobs and because he desperately wants a relationship and to not be alone. They have no business being together.

Michael didn't blow 4 million, he's not entitled to that money anyway. It was Jan's money since she was the one suing Dunder Mifflin, Michael was just a witness. Jan doesn't have to give him a dime of that money and probably wouldn't anyway. She would probably give some lame excuse and break up with him. Michael screwed over Jan because she disrespected Michael with that performance review and invaded his privacy by taking his diary. She could have easily asked him for just that one entry to the diary to use for her case, but no she just took the whole thing without asking. Also, Michael loves his job to a fault and David's comments about Michael and the corporate job was small compared to his girlfriend/former boss saying he should be demoted back to sales and that he's basically a bad manager. Wallace has been nicer to Michael than Jan has, so he did feel obligated to protect the company over helping his girlfriend. Michael and Jan should not be together; it's a toxic relationship.

I love this episode. The moment when he makes the decision to choose the company over Jan shows that he is a good person at his core, he might not be able to articulate it exactly lol but I think he understood why the company did what they did, and that moment in the deposition he really saw how malicious Jan is, and he couldn’t be like that.
