I saw this movie 13x in the movies alone!! And I saw Prince in Philly with Jill Scott opening!! I would say it was the best ever but fortunately for me I also saw MJ on the Victory tour AND Stevie Wonder so they're in a 3way tie for the top spot!! ❤️❤️❤️

Guys, if you like this movie...you have to see the YouTube version... I understand the movie on a whole new level and explain it all throughout the film in little notes... I just missed the key concept of them being all his dad's songs: "Purple Rain," "Die for You," and basically Prince found all his dad's compositions, taught them to the band, and they rocked out, basically informing his dad that all his music was good and he had the talent...and I explain his dad so much more; it's a lot to type, but only if you find this film interesting would I check out my thoughts on YouTube...

Went to see Prince at Madison Square Garden. Took my mom when she came to visit me in NYC. Was a time! And the second concert I’ve ever been to was Morris Day & The Time. My mom took me when I was a little girl…so not appropriate but danced my little tail off.

sorry have to disagree with you Leo. A woman by the hospital bed of her husband who continuously assaulted and beat her and watched her beat their son for years is a woman who is sick and needs professional help. It is not a strong woman. If the husband was left by her and she showed on single shit for her son being beaten, that would be a strong woman. A son that can show up to the hospital and still show love for parents that have shown him none is strong.

Prince would hold random concerts at Paisley Park…you had to be listening to the radio because we didn’t have cellphones back then…the only problem is you never knew when he was going to perform! I waited until 4am once and gave up😂 First Ave is still thriving and there is a huge mural of him right by it. 💜

Ok. Now that you've seen Apollonia, (APPLE-LOAN-EE-YAH), Now you have to watch "THE WOOD". An entire friendship spawns from the age old question, Vanity or Applonia 🤷🏿‍♂️. Plus its a great "remember in the days" kinda movie, hilarious, and a dope cast.

Appolonia had a short-lived musical career. Her Band in the Movie was called: Appolonia 6. However, I used to have her music on vinyl and her band was called: Vanity 6. That was her Band-mates in the Purple Rain Movie. That was Appolonia 6/Vanity 6 ..not certain which Band name was first. In either case Vanity 6's Albums are extremely rare to find these days.
