Hey friends! So I’m gearing up for the premiere of The Vampire Lestat this week. The plan is to watch live on Sunday and post the uncut reactions here Sunday evening for the “Friends” tier. Would love to use the comment section as a (spoiler-free) discussion board with yall! I miss our IWTV chats 🥰

Then I will edit and post the YouTube version a few days later. After this first week, I’ll see how much remaining time I have to post more. I’m in the midst of rehearsals for a performance, so I may only be doing TVL for a few weeks until that show is done.

But in the meantime, I’m curious what else y’all would be interested in seeing as an accompaniment to TVL. Hannibal season 2? The Newsreader (double Sam Reid)? Off-Campus? Continuing other shows I stopped — Fellow Travelers, Young Royals, One Piece Live Action? Post the Nana manga reactions?

Let me know in the comments!

The Newsreader. I think it would be really fun to see the differences in Sam’s performances.

Sawyer

would love to see your reactions to the newsreader! it’s such an amazing show, you will obviously love sam reid’s performance in it but i think anna torv will blow you away, she is absolutely incredible

Deb Lynch

Yay! First time I will be interacting with your TVL/IWTV content as it comes out I'm so excited for the new episode it comes out Monday morning for me right before I start my work, also I might be alone in this but I hope to see your Nana manga reactions

kc. (he/him)

Black Sails, The Newsreader, West World, Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

kc. (he/him)

I'd also love to see you watch a show with a Black cast.

claire

ahhhh i can't wait!!! i was at the premiere/concert on tuesday and i won't give any spoilers but the first ep was so good!!

gabbyness

yesssss can't wait. Yes newsreader would be great, although sometimes it's kind of heavy. Seconding black sails...which is also kind of heavy whoops.

evolyror

happy vampire lestat week!!! it'd be cool to see what you think of the newsreader; everything about that show is so well done. heavier topics for sure but there's a balance! it's impressive to see just how much sam reid transforms into each of his characters

Temi M Reacts

Ooh, that’s a great point! I’m sure the differences will be stark!

Temi M Reacts

Ooh my brother tried to convince me to react to KOTSK but I just watched it on my own. Loved it! I’ve boycotted Game of Thrones series since the season finale but made an exception for this one and glad I did! Honestly, Black Sails might be my next show after Hannibal. I’ve heard so many good things! I watched West World season 1 when it came out and loved it. But I heard it went off the rails soon after.

Temi M Reacts

Omg claire! Okay, no spoilers about the episode, but how was the concert experience?! Tell me everything 😆

Temi M Reacts

Yay! Excited you’ve joined the IWTV crew! I was thinking of making the Nana manga reactions more of a vlog-style, but that’s been proving too much effort. So I may just add my thoughts in more of a stream of consciousness here for you and the other Nana fans. Would that be interesting?

Temi M Reacts

Haha that’s fair. I did post reactions to Supacell on YouTube, but there didn’t seem to be much interest.

Temi M Reacts

No light, only darkness on this channel haha. But I do think Black Sails will be the next main show I watch after (or between seasons of) Hannibal. And everyone seems to be pro-Newreader!

Temi M Reacts

Seems to be the most popular opinion! Newsreader it is!

kc. (he/him)

Thank you for letting me know. I will check it out. I’m about decolonizing and decentering whiteness. I will support you in that and I hope you’re encouraged to do what is aligned with you despite the response :)

kc. (he/him)

I’m glad you enjoyed it! And lmaooo that’s fair. I tried watching House of Dragons and couldn’t finish the first season. The characters are so unlikable. Yes!!! I can’t wait for Black Sails. lol you’re not wrong about West World. I’d say season 2 is good and three is watchable lol. Season 4 is 😬. Still haven’t finished it

gabbyness

Lollll hopefully you’re watching some lighter things on your own. For black sails I just want to warn you that s1 can be a little rough but it’s worth it for the rest.

claire

It was amazing! His live vocals were crazy good and his acting was just as impressive as it is in the show. He even performed a couple of songs that haven't been released yet! I actually got to be in the fan section for the red carpet beforehand as well and see the cast arrive and meet most of them! It was so insane to see Sam Reid being a very friendly polite human person and then an hour later see him fully in character as Lestat on stage. He's never beating the possession allegations lol. Jacob Anderson was also SUCH a sweetheart, he came to say hi to us right when he got there and then had to leave pretty quickly to take pictures and do interviews, but he came back over after the carpet and took pictures with the people he didn't have time to talk to beforehand! All of them are also somehow even more attractive in person which is honestly just unreasonable

Deb Lynch

I think that should be fun honestly cuz ya vlog style reactions while might have been fun might be hassle so just a stream of consciousness might be good and hope you can also find a way to watch the live action Nana movie on your own time I think it came to the Crunchyroll store recently, anyways I'm so excited for Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid to be back on my screen

Thea

Haven't watched The Newsreader yet but I heard great things about it. My votes are for Hannibal s2 and Black Sails, another amazing show with deep and complex character studies and it's one of those that only get better and better. Some may say it starts a bit slow, it's for sure a more subtle experience, but I found it captivating since the beginning and I'm glad you're considering watching it even if it's gonna be later down the line. Yay we're so close to TVL!!

Eila

Can’t wait for tvl, so excited! Would love to see you continue with hannibal <3

Temi M Reacts

Yeah and I heard the second season of House of the Dragons was also not great. The lack of consistent quality in shows is always so shocking.

Temi M Reacts

Oh my goodness. What an unreal experience to have! It’s always relieving to hear that the actors you like are also genuinely kind people in real life. But ahhh, I saw that there was video of the concert, but I’m gonna wait until I see the first episode to watch it. So happy that you got have such a fun night! I love that they ensured real fans were there!

Temi M Reacts

As we all should be! I will say, now that I have Patreon as an outlet, it allows me a space to explore things that I want to watch regardless of views and subscribers. That being said, is it bad that I consider IWTV a pretty black show? Lol. I know it’s a bit more complicated, but I do think I tend to focus more on the racial dynamics at play probably more so than others. Lastly, I’m still working on my monthly media wrap up, but I just saw “I Love Boosters” and want to share my thoughts on it. Have you seen it yet?

Temi M Reacts

Haha I might need to be more intentional about keeping that balance. But yeah, I heard getting past S1 is where you really find gold.

Temi M Reacts

A lot of “Black Sails” fans here! Makes me that much more affirmed that it’s the right choice for a next reaction series!

kc. (he/him)

Lmaooo ok so I feel like IWTV was a back show in season 1 and I'll leave it at that. I feel like they didn't have many Black writers in season 2. And no! I haven't seen "I Love Boosters." I was going to ask if you like it but I'll wait if you plan on making a video! I'm going to be real. I hope this isn't a red flag, but I don't really like Keke Palmer as an actress 🫣. I want to support Black creation so if you recommend, I will certainly check it out!
