1. ‘burn my ass up you’re gay’ in a yellow dress and Claudia burned in a yellow dress at the trial…. These writers think they’re hilarious… ALSO Regina means ‘Queen’ in Latin and I have no idea what that means but I wonder if she’s some how connected to *Akasha* + the red light on Regina when Louis reveals that she’s got an OnlyFans account — call back to Louis working as a pimp in the red light district. Daniel in S1 “144 years of life and you're still Louis the Pimp, paying a whore to sit in a room and talk with you.” Oh Louis ☹️ 2. Re the first Daniel/Armand convo- my understanding is that back in 2x5 Armand tells Daniel exactly what his life will be like (divorce/resentment/failure) before he says ‘rest’ until Louis corrects that and says he’d be a good journalist at least. Vampires i think have powers to manipulate a human mindset to work in a certain way. (Armand was stronger than Louis in SF and Louis was also burnt up and weak). That’s why Daniel says all that! 3. (I’m so sorry for yapping 😭) Lestat’s desperate whisper “we were mother and son” in a last attempt to draw a boundary, to beg her not to do this to him, not to cross that line and she responds with “I love you” essentially saying that my love for you is conditional and because I love you you MUST do this for me. Saying that to YOUR child who has never received parental love….seeing the struggle on Lestat’s face of “I know what’s happening to me. I know this is horribly wrong. But I really need love. I need my mother.” I couldn’t watch that scene either it’s just so fucked. 265 years and this has been happening to him for at least 236 years of those… 4. Re the vampire bond - When Louis says ‘that’s weird’ in the conversation with Daniel Lestat precedes that scene with ‘I wasn’t there but I think this is how they spoke’ I took that to mean the general substance is true but the specifics aren’t cause he’s subjective. And at that point he still believes Louis doesn’t love him! BUT in season 1 when Loustat dance everyone else disappears + Louis hallucinates Lestat in S2 to the point of holding the door open for ‘dream stat’ so WE the audience know in that scene that Louis is either 1. lying or 2. not saying that

Regina looking directly into the camera and saying that Daddy Lou line had me fully recoiling from the screen. Louis go to therapy and leave that girl alooooone! I have so many questions about Alex saying Armand made all the bad stuff go away. Is he just Eternal Sunshining him? There's no way this ends well. And did he know Arun was Armand? I don't know how to interpret his look at the concert, whether he was surprised or betrayed or just felt bad that they were dunking on the guy that'd helped him. And speaking of the concert--right as Armand turns away to leave his eyes start doing the weird jittery thing they do when he uses his powers. What was he doing? And why does he have two little minions with him? Re: Gabriella's hair, she has to cut it every night. You can actually see it discarded a couple times in earlier episodes. There's a blink and you'll miss it shot of it on the floor of the bus as she's introduced as Sofia in ep 2 and it's there again on the seat of the car she and Lestat killed the newlyweds in at the beginning of ep 3. Vampire hair grows back and her hair was long when she was turned. And re: Armand not really doing much to Lestat to deserve the bullying he got this episode, I think it boils down to the trial and Claudia's death. The pre-chorus for Big Boss culminates with "only the big boss gets to decide who dies and who stays alive". I think it's Lestat's direct rebuttal to Armand saying he "could not prevent it". He could've, but he didn't.

1. Lesmand - I ABSOLUTELY love their dynamic (Sam/Assad are GREAT) ! But Lestat’s wearing Claudia’s baby lulu makeup and the trial pants.. the song is primarily about his anger and hurt toward Armand for the trial and killing Claudia.. outside of Louis/Lestat’s role in her demise she was their daughter and so the anger they have against him is very deep rooted 😬 2. I also think there’s some lyrics in the song alluding to Armand having done something to Lestat ‘his kisses put me in a coma’ ‘big boss wants to get you in bed’ we know Lestat struggles with being a victim and hyper-sexualises himself in defence when he’s vulnerable/scared (which he does in both scenes with Armand). I think we’ll get more on their history cause there’s obviously love between them but also hatred (Armand to Lestat) and fear (Lestat’s fear of Armand) 3. Him saying “beyond generous endowment” staring at Lestat’s cock 😭. Lestat stripping naked as defense. I know Armand was bricked up 😭 got Lestat naked showering in blood and a song dedicated to him he’s loving this and hating that he’s loving this 😭😭 4. Armand waddling like a penguin after that concert 😭 my baby ☹️

T

My thing with Lestat and Armand is I really do think Armand loves Lestat in a very Armand ‘I’m obsessed with you’ way but it IS love. And he LOVES Daniel. So is he keeping Alex around as a way to protect Daniel and Lestat from Gabrielle’s entire plan? I really can’t get why else he would be in Alex’s head

Miki

So there's a word rattling around in my mind...you know the word so lets say it together....MOMANGER

Jus Ty

Lestat with mommy issues and Daniel with daddy issues what a great duo hahah. There is a good reason why Daniels blames Armand for his life between San Francisco and Dubai but i wont spoil anything and we can just wait for hopefully clear explanation of it in the show. Also the fact that Louis is for a third time paying someone to listen to him, MAN.. dont you know better? Lily, Daniel and most messed up with Regina:( Another hard to watch relationship on screen i just hope it will end soon and without big emotional damage but i doubt it. As always great reaction, happy to be able to watch it again with you!!:)

Tony

Loll, you’re killing me with your Armand defence. He does look like a wet kitten but I feel like Lestat is justified in being mean to him when Armand orchestrated the murder of his daughter 😭

b e

so glad you brought up how in that last scene gabriella and lestat felt like mother and child because....that's how it always is for lestat, he always views her as his mother no matter how hard he tries to convince himself that vampirism cut the human ties between them. when he mentions being mother and son when she tended to his wounds after the wolves he's basically asking 'why tf did you touch me like that?' because he's confused and doesn't understand what's happening but knows deep down that it isn't right and when he doesn't respond to her cold 'and?' she hits him with an i love you because she knows that's what he wants to hear most from her and with that she conditions him to think that in order to get her love being with her in THAT way is the only way to get it. it's so incredibly sad because the incestuous abuse he suffers shapes the way he sees himself completely. it explains why he was so hypersexual during louis' years of depression after claudia left, he only knows love and feels loved when it's physical. because deep down he wants to be loved for who he IS and that's something we experience with our parents first and the only love he's gotten from her is of the sexual kind. it's hard to believe anyone else can love for anything else after that.

gabbyness

Loved your reaction, as always! As an Armand fan, this episode was both everything I wanted, and a constant humiliation ritual lol. He looked like a kicked puppy this whole episode and I just wanted to hug him. Look at his giant anime eyes? What if we just forgave him? Like I’m sure he has some other ulterior motive going on, but I do think the apologies were sincere. I think a lot of fans think he’s an evil mastermind, but to me he just seems like someone desperate for safety, who will fuck anyone over if it protects himself. I’m hoping the show explores that more in the next couple episodes. Armand and Lestat’s relationship is so interesting. They’ve had a lot of the same trauma but reacted in completely different ways. I think that’s part of why they often butt heads. They both see the other and think “I went through that too, how did you turn out that way?” I do think lestat’s song was really fucking cruel, though. He insulted his appearance, his sexual skills, and called him boring. That’s what he’s sensitive about!! Also “rag doll for sale”?? If one more person uses Armand’s sexual slavery against him I think he should be allowed to blow up the planet. I did like the great laws part, since you know that has to do with bad things he’s actually done, not just bullying him. Daniel and Armand: I think Daniel blames his week of torture on how the rest of his life turned out. Which is kind of fair! It probably left mental scars that he couldn’t even process because he couldn’t remember the trauma. It is kind of fucked that it seemed like Daniel was saying “actually you should have just killed me in SF.”, but it’s wrapped in too many layers because he’s pretending to be Armand apologizing to him, so I’m not sure if that’s actually how he feels. So Armand’s love during the Dubai interview…👀 Side note: traumatic brain injury, including just a concussion, increases your risk of Parkinson’s so Armand slamming him up and down might’ve given him the disease later in life. Louis: Jesus fucking christ, dude. “It's still Louis the pimp, paying a whore to sit a room and talk with you.” The last shot of Regina doing the accent was so upsetting. Please, someone intervene, this man is not doing well. Lestat and Gabriella: I feel like I’m understanding them better. And I’m glad we got confirmation about when the sexual relationship actually started, because it wasn’t really clear before. I’m glad that things seem to be ramping up, the first couple episodes felt a little meandering.

I was feeling super sorry for Armand too this chapter, Assad is great in that role and Armand is a great character. I'm eager to see more of his dynamic with both Lestat and Daniel. And Gabriella, she's evil no doubt. It hurts to see Lestat's face the "first" time they're together, when he comes into her room and questions her about how she touched him. Like his face shows he's suffering and he's uncomforable but he gives in because she says the thing Lestat wants to hear "I love you", Lestat is alone in the world... He just wanted company and to be loved, especially after Nicki's death. It's just to evil that she knows and uses that against him. Also, it's clearly very triggering the fact that Lestat can't hear Gabriella's thoughts or do mind communication with her since she became a vampire, he can't find her when she decides to go. That ties with Lestat being triggered by Louis and Claudia mind communicating and leaving him blantantly out. That's also why he gets fixated on exactly how long Gabriella was gone, because he's very used to see her only when he's in a very bad situation: when he was very hurt by the wolves, when he nearly died in the hands of Louis and Claudia it was implied she came back to Lestat and tended to him, when he was almost killed by the Fang Gang, that's when she decided to show up. And as for the weird relationship with Louis and Regina, I love that the show is going there. In season 1 Lestat's makes a comment when Claudia is gone: "it could be her, but I'm the one that is standing in front of you, and unlike Claudia I'm a full-blooded adult, with all the right appendices", that's hinting at almost and emotional "incest" that Louis had regarding Claudia. And Lestat knows very well how that would look like, because that's what he has with Gabriella, that not being able to let go. So I saw Louis and Regina's interactions heading into a weird direction... Hopefully just weird in the sense of her impersonating Claudia and stuff, but if Louis is content with that it is still very very weird.

alondra

"Armand didnt really do anything that bad to lestat" girl he burned his daughter in front of him 😭 but yeah I did feel bad for Armand my boy was really trying hard :(

Daniel McGuinness

I love how you instinctively felt sorry for Armand, meanwhile I was TERRIFIED of him in every scene 😭 like what is the Demon Twink planning now!!!? I agree he’s such an interesting character tho 😅 He has a submissive nature (as we saw in his relationship with Louis, and, from what we’ve seen, Lestat) which everyone attributes to his background of being sold and abused as a child, he’s recreating the only dynamic he knew etc But I also think he always needs to be in control. He instigated the dom/sub agreement with Louis, but he was still the Coven leader with all the power. He manipulated Louis, Daniel, AND the interview in seasons 1&2. And I think there’s more to his story regarding Lestat and Nicky… I think he uses his meekness and kicked-puppy-like attitude to worm his way close to people and plant seeds of destruction. Like the worlds most evil power bottom Like I verbally shouted “NO!” when he offered to leave his apology note in lestats bus bc I figured this bitch must’ve cursed it or something 😭 I did get severe secondhand embarrassment at him being spotlighted and sang to tho 🥴 “come ci, comme ca” GAG 😭 and I DID gag at him confessing his love to Daniel?!!

Daniel McGuinness

Also the way Alex spoke about Armand; making all his pain and regret go away… that’s how he likes to hunt! What he was doing to Daniel in San Francisco, making him feel at peace before he feeds, before Louis stopped him

Daniel McGuinness

Also the “why won’t you let me hate you” at the end ☹️ Deliberately ignoring him then showing up out of the blue like nothing happened, not allowing him to move on. Very common abuse tactic

Daniel McGuinness

Just realised they’re in the STUDIO at the end… they’re MAKING THE ALBUM 😵‍💫

One of the things I love about this season is seeing how endeared Lestat is by the humans around him every so often. It was interesting for example how he reacted to Daniel correcting him on the bus vs dr. Fareed. I love Armand (especially when he's at his worst like we saw him in San Francisco) and he's such an interesting character omg but Lestat was too kind to him this episode haha, he should've done worse all things considered. Also I'm intrigued by him saying he's an addict last episode while he's trying to get close to someone Lestat cares about (Alex). Partly because in season 2 the impression I got of him is that he IS addicted to sort of manipulating or being in control while still letting go of control in some ways. He's so fascinating, I want to see this side of him more!! Love getting more of Delainey but damn... I was growing more and more uncomfortable until that roleplaying scene made me fully recoil. Don't see this going well, I just hope my girl Regina gets her bag and lives happily somewhere far from all this mess.

xris037

I HATE that people are soooooo scared to just like a character. JUST ENJOY THEM!!!!

xris037

"armand didn't do anything to him" LMAOOOO

gabbyness

re: the vampire bond, Louis was just saying he doesn't have the rapture moments that daniel has, not that they don't have a vampire bond at all. And we've now seen that what Daniel and Armand have going on is unique to them.

Fiona

I interpreted the “rag doll for sale” line as being about the Paris coven (Children of Darkness or whatever they were called) and how Armand had them all dressing in rags. The whole song is basically about Lestat’s anger at Armand engineeering Claudia’s death as a result of his adherence to the Five Great Laws.

gabbyness

I mean the song isn’t just about what he did in the Paris coven. It’s also making fun of his appearance and his sexual skills. Rag doll is a common metaphor used to describe someone ineffectual, spineless, and without agency. It isn’t used to mean someone raggedy. Someone without any agency for sale is a slave. Also he precedes the line with “I know that life is cruel” which seems to be talking about Armand’s past.

Temi M Reacts

Gosh, I'm a bit peeved that I didn't make the connection between his getup during the performance and Claudia. "Paying a whore to sit in a room and talk with you." Big oof...some things never change. Also the point about Regina, are you hinting at something specific or are you theorizing? Hoping the latter as I wouldn't want this to impact my read of the character/plot if confirmed true. That's a fair point. I think I've underestimated the potential for the supernatural power in that scene to influence the trajectory of this life and that Daniel actually believed it to be the cause of his misery. It's such a sickening scene. She doesn't care for the boundaries of their relationship at all and is perfectly find manipulating him in his moments of weakness or desire for love/nurturing. Mmmmm, good point. It's sometimes hard to keep track of what is "real" in this show. I already forgot that was Lestat's retelling of that scene haha

Temi M Reacts

👏🏾LEAVE👏🏾THAT👏🏾GIRL👏🏾ALONE!👏🏾 Agreed. Jury is still out on what exactly Armand has planned and if Alex is secretly a part of it. I missed the eye movement though. He's still such a mystery to me.

Temi M Reacts

1. Such a fascinating dynamic. Especially considering their relative ages/power level, Lestat always seems to assume this dominant presence. I'm still a bit unsure about how I feel about Lestat's participation in the trial. Because as far as we know, he didn't really do much to save her. So part of me struggles to give too much compassion to him over her loss, but I also hope we hear more of his side. 2. And that's exactly what I want to know more about! Because at this moment, I don't understand the truth of their prior relationship. It would be massive if some of the things in the song were suggesting what I'm thinking they are. 3. Listen, Armand...I don't blame you lol 4. To get me to "aww poor baby" Armand is a huge feat lol

Temi M Reacts

But only the effed up brand of momager lol. The one with an inappropriate relationship with their kid who puts their own desires above their child's and would use them for their own means.

Temi M Reacts

Haha if you told the season 2 version of me I'd be taking pity on Armand, I would be shocked. But I still need to better understand his contribution to the trial because I'm not sure how much I can remove his hand from the event.

Temi M Reacts

Lol that's why I qualified it with "pre-Louis/Claudia."

Temi M Reacts

Honestly, that's such a fair and natural reaction to Armand's presence. Everything about this man has shown us he's not to be trusted, but Assad and those eyes are doing a lot of heavy lifting lol. The way his background informs his current tendencies is so fascinating and a bit heartbreaking. And I think I wanted to let that "love" comment to Daniel ride because I was like "that can't be what he's saying." But thinking about it afterwards...yeah...I need to know more lol

Temi M Reacts

*inserts the Simpsons "I'm in danger" meme* 🫠

Temi M Reacts

Lol that's why I qualified it with "pre-Louis/Claudia."

Miki

Is there any other type 🤭? Bad touch or not, I've never seen a momager ever not exploit their child

Kayla

I think in regards to the trial, there’s a reason they showed Lestat bleeding from his ears after saving Louis and it was to show that he didn’t have the strength to do it twice and as much as he loved Claudia; he was always going to choose Louis if he had to pick between the two.

Crystalrose

i'm a half Armand apologist but only because he looked so sad.. i just want to understand himmmmm!!!! He's definitely plotting but i'm not sure what. Also wanted to point out Lestat's face after asking Armand to come to the concert. I've been seeing lots of people say that look means he's afraid of Armand.. but i'm not sure why.. (we have book reasons but i'm curious what the show will reveal about their relationship). And the fact that lestat said he did more damage than the Queen.... yeah we got a big storm coming lol! So i'm sitting with that little reaction and I'm hoping we get a little more lestat x armand this season.

Ben

when he described Nicky he said that Nikki was his first love not a great one
