Mr Paris

Hi Robbie, I have heard you say several times you wish you had played Tom Paris with a smaller chip on his shoulder. I completely disagree. I thought you did a great job portraying the relationship he had with his high expectation father and how he had let everyone down by his mistakes. I think it was a life long issue he had with his father's expectations and the chip on his shoulder was the right size. I think you did great and I really liked the character and his progress to a trusting good man and husband. I would change nothing. I thought Harry Kim was perfectly played also. Loved the two of them, the "everyman" characters.

The first episode was so much fun and loved I didn’t have to wait long for episode 2. Great work

Langolier

Great work guys, I don't know if you are posting to the Anchor app, my roommate and I do our podcast there and its pretty easy, but if you post the link and I will subscribe there as well.

Chris Tribuzio

I think Garrett was referring to Hugo Weaving from Matrix. Who was also the voice of Megatron in the transformer movies

Andrea Clarke

Robbie, you are being too hard on yourself about the initial way you approached your character. He was not like the cadet from TNG - that character was manipulative in a negative way. Tom Paris came across just how he should have been, Robbie, you did great, stop being over critical of yourself! You are both excellent actors who played their parts brilliantly!

A small thing, but I love that the Underground Ocampa Escalator is pointed out. Every time I see Caretaker I can't help but laugh (in a very lovimg way) when they are riding the escalator.

I’m a huge Voyager fan and have been secretly hoping for a podcast like this to happen for quite some time. Now that it’s finally here, I’m really looking forward to the journey we’ll be going on together 😊

ediblegenius

So excited for this podcast! Glad to see you guys are friends.

Leon Zhang

Robbie saying Neelix is exactly the same as it was on the show!

Brenda

Adding on to Andrea. You did an amazing job portraying Tom's character growth over all 7 seasons. It was interesting to watch him grow from this guy who acted out and wanted people to think he didn't care what they thought to a highly responsible individual who is an amazing role model for those who watch.

Caroline Aching

I keep rewatching both Caretaker episodes lol they are awesome! On to Parallax!

Elizabeth S

Awesome podcast! Keep it up fellas 👍💙 Specifically, I can tell you both have a great friendship in real life, not just on the show. The extra BTS info as a Patreon subscriber is so worth it! Kate Mulgrew for the win on the “Caretaker” episode. She really takes charge from the start. Fantastic actress and Captain. 🖖

Noel

I've watched the premier so many times but now I wonder if I should blame Capt Janeway less. The huge Kazon ship crashed into the array so would it even work after that?

Aithne Loeblich

The one line that always sticks in my head from this episode is Janeway saying: "The Kazon Ogla? Who are the Kazon Ogla?!" She had such a weird inflection and emphasis that didnt match Neelix's conversation. Lol

Kyla Smith

Haha, this sticks with me too!! The inflection was definitely off. It was interesting to hear about the practice of overdubbing here, I always wondered why Kim's voice sounded odd during the first sickbay scene.

Mark Dennehy

I just became a Patreon as I have gotten so much out of Robbie and Garrett's show, thank you guys! Garretts impression of Janeway and Paris getting the needle is hilarious, I'm still laughing about it 2 months later.

My wife and I watched all of Voyager together during it's initial run, and when I mentioned recently that you two were doing this podcast and that you became good friends while working on Voyager, she said without even thinking about it: "It shows - they had real chemistry together". Just thought you guys would like hearing that.

Kellie Evetts

Garrett asked where Neelix's coat was. I believe it is at the Star Trek Museum in Vulcan, AB. I actually met Garrett at a ComicCon here in Lethbridge where costumes from the show were exhibited. I remembered to take lots of pictures of the costumes - but was dumstruck meeting Garrett (who was very kind about all my stammering) and didn't take one picture of him! Lol
