"he's the loser cuz death." hahahahahah

Dee McGee

Spicy Megan! Tim Russ does indeed have a truly magical voice.

Mark Scheuern

Garrett anticipated the musical episode of Strange New Worlds!

Dustin Snyder

Loved to hear the mention of Space: Above and Beyond! That was a fun show. I have the DVD set.

Stephanie Baker

Alternate title: Camping with Tuvok a Vulcan

Janeway/Paris? True, Paris' hair was perfect this episode, but Chakotay's hair is perfect in EVERY episode. Sorry, Robbie :D Seriously though, back in the day there was a huge faction that wanted Janeway/Paris. I could have lived with it, right up until the episode "Time & Again" when Paris mock-lunges at the little kid to scare him off, then turns to Janeway and says, "Sorry!" like a teen-ager :D He was just too young/immature for Janeway I think. I loved this episode and thought the twist at the end was brilliantly done. I love Tim Russ' Tuvok and it was great to have this Tuvok-centric episode. Tim did a great job.

Christopher Collins

This is an episode of Tuvok saying directions that are disobeyed, don’t do that, stop that. It’s like Luke Skywalker when he first meets Yoda in Empire Strikes Back.

Craig Drebit

We need flat brim caps in the DF store!

Karen Chuplis

Garrett, just remember, the Enterprise crew also had to wear those EV suits a LOT. So.... kind of a tradeoff.

Kathleen Scherrman

I was listening to this in the car and, while at a stoplight, was laughing at some comment -- I just happened to glance to the left and the dude in the vehicle next to me was staring at me like I was ....idk ... a weirdo? Or maybe he was jealous that I actually have fun while sitting in my car. Or maybe he thought I was laughing at him staring at me. I waved -- and he snapped his eyes front. If I had been driving my jeep, he would have instantly known that I was listening to the podcast because I have Starfleet Academy decals on the side windows ... but no. I was in the beige hearse today.

Kathleen Scherrman

Anyway ... btw. I love it when Garrett does the Janeway voice! So hilarious. It makes me laugh everytime.

With the episode Innocence, I always wondered how it would look like when teenagers give birth to 80-year-olds! Or maybe they hatch in some sort of way. The whole backwards ageing always did my head in when thinking about some of the biological details :D Also, they ask Tuvok if he has any children.. do they mean parents in that case? If so, why does Tressa speak of missing her grandson at the end? Surely in the reversed ageing that would be her grandfather and he'd no longer be alive? The Drayans call the 3 people on the moon "children".. maybe it's also the universal translator having a hard time with the backwards ageing!

Steven Hawley

There is a Doctor Who/Star Trek crossover comic! It's called Assimilation² and it features the Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond, Rory Williams and the TNG crew with the Borg and the Cybermen. I believe the TOS crew and 4 also make an appearance in one of the issues.

AJ Provance

For merch: How about beach towels and mouse pads?

Jeremy Taylor

Tuvok and kids become friends Their fear and confusion, he mends But there's nothing to fix The girl's ninety-six And when the time comes, a life ends

DebbieD

For merchandise, maybe tote or duffel bags; journals/notebooks; in honor of the monthly drink recipe, shot glasses.

DebbieD

Robbie-that kid said "Tardith".

Lisa Minnesma

it was a joke :) during editing they probably thought it sounded like a toot. So jokingly they inserted laugh or toot

Stephanie G Williams

Merch idea: Plus sized stuff! Especially flowy tank tops! Fluffy girls love the Delta Flyers, too! 😘💖

"Sorry Because of its privacy settings, this video cannot be played here." I cannot watch the video?

TheDeltaFlyers

Hi Griffin, are you trying to play the video from Patreon, or linking it elsewhere? I'm assuming you haven't had this problem before? I did some research and it may be browser addons you have that are preventing the video from showing, or cookies. We haven't changed our video settings, and just double checked the settings for this video and confirmed that the settings are the same as previous videos.

Chris Flores

When he said that about the mini blow torch I LOST IT. LMFAO!!!

Sue Irwin

Hey there...I put in a ticket as there is no sound for this and many other video files. The file plays, but without sound. Any ideas what might have happened? I uninstalled/reinstalled and also restarted my iPad but no change.

TheDeltaFlyers

Hi Sue, that's very strange. The video plays with sound for us. And we haven't had any complaints from other patrons. My only guess is that it's an issue with your device settings. Is it only certain videos that don't have sound? Or is it all of our videos? You have already done what I would suggest. I'm not sure what else to suggest. I went at viewed the video on our hosting site and the audio seems good there, too. If you have the option to try it on another device to rule out any issues with your Patreon and narrow it down to something with your device.

Mihaela Grasley

Hello, I have the same problem: no sound when I play your video podcasts. I have image but without any sound. This happens on both my iPad Pro and my other iPad. It does not happen on my iPhone. I also uninstalled and reinstalled Patreon app a few times, including after restarting my iPad(s). I do have sound when I play your video podcast from Patreon site (either on Chrome or Safari). I noticed this no sound issue only this week. Please, help out!

Susanna Jackman

I also am not getting any sound 🥺 I noticed Patreon did an update recently. I wonder if the problem is there.

TheDeltaFlyers

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do on our end. We have no control of the Patreon app or Patreon site. We will reach out to Patreon and inform them of the issue. But that is the extent of what we can do. Sorry for the inconvenience!

TheDeltaFlyers

It does seem like that may be the issue. The only fix we have to offer is to watch the episodes on a different device/desktop or opening the Patreon site from a browser. It seems like the issue is with the app itself on ipad/iphone devices.

Susanna Jackman

Good idea 💡 I don’t want to miss it! ☺️

Mihaela Grasley

I i have submitted a support request to Patreon for this issue, no sound on iPad(s). Maybe, if it comes from all of us, they will fix the issue as soon as possible!

Chris Flores

OMG the Thaw, I've been waiting for this! Can't wait till next week. I adore you guys.

Jeremy Taylor

The next couple episodes are both pretty interesting. It may not be possible, but it would be REALLY COOL if you guys got Michael McKean on the podcast, to talk about his role as the creepy fear-clown in The Thaw.

Triple Seven

If you’re using iPhone or iPad listen to the audio version, let it play for a few minutes then hit the video. It works for me.

Andrea Mahoney Ross

I went and rewatched again and it definitely sounds sound like he says Tardis but closed captioning says it’s Tardeth. Too bad, I would LOVE to see a 10th Doctor x Voyager crossover! As for merch I’d love to see a bag, journal/notebooks or a notepad. Something I can use everyday and bring to work with me too. Tuvok sounding like he’s the Vulcan version of frustrated with the kids being loud and doing everything you asked them not to do even though they promised gets me every time. 😂

Barbara Allen

Sorry if this is a repeat observation. Garrett commented that the Drayan representative was behaving like a petulant child. Since this alien ages backwards, she was a child. Rewatching this episode with that in mind changed my feelings about her. I agree with Robbie that earlier disclosure about their aging process would have been a good script choice.

Michelle Z

Thinking about the doing vs explaining that Robbie mentions in this episode. I generally agree that exposition can be heavy handed and pull away from real drama but I think it is important to say that when it comes to death, particularly in American society, there is usually very little explaining and almost exclusively action. It was beautiful to see Tuvok play a fatherly role in this episode and "explain death" in a way, to the children in this episode. I find it comforting to find this kind of exploration of the theme as an adult who needed that as a child, but never got it. This episode is one that I happily rewatch. Lisa Klink did a great job. Though I do agree with Garrett about how the drama should not have come from the withholding of information (between the Prelate and Janeway). Also as a bonus, here is the question I didn't get in in time: Tuvok seems to represent a lot of ideal--concentrated fatherly traits in this episode through the lense of being both a Vulcan and an experienced father--can you relate with Tuvok's parenting style either through being a parent or being parented?

Mathew Sands

C'mon Robbie, a 4?!? I mean it definitely has its issues but sheesh...Tuvok's singing alone is worth a 4, haha. I give it a 5.8-6. It does drag. It is a bit predictable and it does have its story flaws but I always enjoy Tuvok, and there is some really touching moments. Great episode guys!

Sarah Allen

Re silent episodes, watch Buffy’s ep ‘Hush’ if you haven’t already! (Season 4 I think)

Dead_Alewives

What I was wondering in this episode was, if that race's aging process was in reverse, does that mean that they give birth to fully grown adults? Wouldn't want to be a woman in their species.

Christina

There's actually a recent study where they found rewatching favorite shows is comforting and destressing. Not that I needed a study to tell me that, but it's interesting in the sense that I've always, for decades now, watched Star Trek to fall asleep to. Knowing the episodes so well, I can close my eyes and visualize what's happening. I was never a big fan of this episode. Intellectually, it's intriguing, but overall it's boring.
