That limerick was a Mic Drop for sure! Also J/C forever!! lol I'm so glad that you guys have picked up on ALL of the subtle and not so subtle multiple PDSA they did throughout the whole show!

Are Tom and B'Elanna still together in Star Trek Picard? Maybe but one of them is dead. And the other is a murderer who's sad because the other is dead. And they had a kid but the kid is dead. They're either dead or murderers and they're sad because everyone they know is dead and murderers. Also there's explosions. While they're dead. The best respect we can hope for legacy characters in modern Trek is that we never hear about them.

Dee McGee

When the Doctor refers to 257 rooms, we can reasonably assume he is referring to rooms like crew quarters, the briefing room, the captain's ready room, and the mess hall.

Dee McGee

Also, Robbie didn't remember that he was the first member of the cast/crew she told about her pregnancy when they were hooked up to those harnesses

Tashicat

"who doesnt like science" probly the subjects of the experiments lmfao

Stephanie Baker

“The Slurpy Kissing Method” and as a PT shipper, I am here for all of it.

bakura

So 15 decks, 257 rooms gotcha

Andrew Murray

Sorry for off topic - VOY, ENT and TOS are still on Netflix (well at least, in Australia) as at 4th October so Paramount/CBS are running behind......

Andrew Murray

You'd certainly have a headache from 100 knitting-needles in your skull!

Andrew Murray

I was thinking maybe Be'lanna is having a Pon-farr attack (a left over from Vorik)

Andrew Murray

You already have the blind art teacher and android student.....Geordi and Data.

Andrew Murray

Experiment on Tuvok was giving him a sense of humour (even if its sarcasm).

sab ewell

Roxann was pregnant here. She has said in interviews the episode Day of Honor is when she first found out. :) so the glow you noticed in Revulsion would be pregnancy glow. Haha and the cover up jacket is coming soon...

Christopher Collins

Usually in the military it is frowned on to date a member on the crew. Once the military finds out you are in a romantic relationship the military tries to split up the relationship to avoid other military personnel from feeling like one person is getting privileges from the rest in the military and also about how they prioritize things. The other thing is they could be scared that if the crew finds out they are in a relationship they will be split up working on projects or away missions together.

Rosemarie

With the 2 finger Janeway point, I'm wondering if she used to work at the Disney Parks at some point. People who work there are not allowed to point with 1 finger because it is offensive to some people in other cultures. So always pointing with 2 fingers

Mike Gu

J/C inner thigh touching! Lol here for it.

Gabi Rutledge

Tom and B'Elanna butt dialed a few photon torpedoes!!! 😂

unnamed3723

Oh my gosh, I cannot escape the number 257! I don't remember when it started but I notice it all the time, it just seems to pop up. I didn't even notice the doctor's line but there it is again

Mike Gu

Y'all should try a Watsu massage if you can ever find it. Life altering.

Stephanie

I don't know if the writer of this episode is Vegan but the way we treat animals is equivalent to how the aliens were treating the Voyager crew. The fact that in the 21st century we are still eating animals needs to be examined. The amount arable land that is used to feed livestock raised for meat is unsustainable. We speak of electric cars etc but most people just ignore one of the easiest ways to slash climate change and that is too simply stop eating meat. I know most people think animals are just animals but I don't think you have to spend too much time with animals to know that they live in family groups, have friends and enemies and have a desire to stay alive. I also don't think you have to stretch your imagination too far to think that an alien species could consider us no more than an animal to experiment with or even eat. I think that is pretty much the theme.

Karen Chuplis

The “loud kissing”’thing is going to be very funny to you a bit down the road in the series. 😂😂😂

Ashley Gariner

Kate was friends with John DeLancie before Trek, she was really excited he was going to be on VOY and they would get the chance to work together. Not sure about her and Picardo though… anyways, great recap as always guys!

GAY Kleven-Lundstrom

Scientific Method is one of my favorite Voyager episodes. It seems on IMDb it is rated 32 out of 168 episodes. Thank you for reviewing it.

Mike Gu

Totally agreed. Humans are animals, too. Also we have done the same and worse to actual humans a la Tuskegee, Unit 731, etc.

James Morrow

Robert Duncan Diaper? :-). Is there a possible cartoon sticker in the future featuring a diapered Paris getting a deep tissue massage or having bare feet walk on his back? :-)

Shanyn Behn

I always think of this episode as one of the few times that Seven ask a question. She says, “What do you suggest?” To the doctor in the holodeck. I like to track her questions because some say she never asks questions.

Louise Sayer

One of my favourite episodes

Mary Burch

Alveoli are a real thing! They're little sacs in your lungs that perform gas exchange (oxygen for CO2). It's cool that Trek gets real medicine right!

Samantha

Starfleet doesnt seem to mind as much. I think they're both in their first 'real' relationship and are hesitant to take the next step.

Irene Artho

I find it weird that Tom uses a replicator ration to get some flowers for B'Ellana. If anything he should have replicated some snacks or chocolate, not flowers that will just die in a few days or weeks without further usage. Or maybe they don't ration their replicator energy anymore.. Also why do they not have technology which differentiates butts touching a console from fingers touching it? Hearing all the the sounds, the buttons definitely reacted when they made out on it :D

David George Webser

Garret - 'I don't want to picture you in a diaper in my head *right now*' errrm, does this mean he sometimes does? Great episode as usual

Ms Nike Morgan

How did I miss the inner thigh touch??!

Ms Nike Morgan

Would have liked to see Chakotay back to normal at the end of this ep.

Ryan Scott

I live on Vancouver Island in Parksville, just 25 minutes from Nanaimo, awesome hearing you guys talk about it,

Eric Leitman

I wonder if Robbie felt awkward watching those kissing scenes with his wife.

Sarah Packard

A word I learned for gene in my Mandarin studies is 基因 (ji1, yin1). It sounds similar to gene. I really like testing my vocab against Garrett's Chinese lessons.

ST Fan CB

This episode does make you think about big ideas or themes through the exploration of illegal or immoral experimentation on other beings. People who are or who have been in the military understand the reasons why Paris and Torres are scared of getting caught. In the military, they could be charged with Dereliction of duty, Conduct unbecoming an Officer, Failure to Obey or Follow a regulation (if there is one in Starfleet to cover this situation) and finally fraternization. These are all punitive articles in the UCMJ or Uniform Code of Military Justice. You just cant go around making out. They have jobs to do and are ignoring them and they are setting a bad example for the junior officers and crew and are showing extremely poor judgement. What if everyone on ship paired up and started hooking up all over ship willy nilly? Nothing would ever get done. Might as well rename the ship the U.S.S. Freaky Deaky. LOL. Janeway's hand pats his knee, not his thigh. Come on man. "To show honor, you must kiss loudly" - Garrett. Wow that was awesome!

Megan Moore

Maybe replicated flowers don't die. And they just recycle them when they get tired of them. Or they recycle them when they die and it doesn't waste energy. My thoughts anyways.
