One thing that always bothered me about the scene where the alien swaps with Janeway is that it was so fast it doesn’t really seem to make sense. It’s a body swap. Or is it a mind swap?if they are switching minds I guess it works but if he’s literally swapping physical features but remaining in the same position he’s in, then it makes me question about their clothes. If faux Paris dna swaps Janeway, suddenly “Tomway” would be busting out of her clothes and “Janelien” would be swimming in an oversized uniform so surely that means he would have had to take her clothes and put his on her. I dunno. Something just isn’t making sense there.

Marian Bieniek

This is not a bad episode, but I really feel like it was written for season one or season two Tom Paris.

Re: The Kaplan twin sisters. Knowing Harry, he probably preferred the dead Kaplan sister. Re: How did B'Elanna cope? There is an episode at the start of next season where B'Elanna is going through a depression and copes with it by doing the holodeck with the safety protocols off. According to the episode, this had been ongoing since at least this episode, which makes for awkward lack of continuity.

Eric Leitman

I believe in the episode “Prey” was when she found out that all her Maquis friends were killed B’Elanna began to feel depressed and self destructive

Elisabeth Westner

Yeah, I've always thought that Paris was too belligerent in that first argument with B'Elanna, and I'm happy to see that Robbie thinks he should have played it with less outrage. But really I'm disappointed that they wrote Paris and Torres having such an argument so early in their relationship, especially after how obvious it was that Paris was pining after her for so long; you'd think he would be a lot nicer so early on.

Mike Joyce

So glad this ep really cleared up why B’Elanna wasn’t in the briefing, that always confused me
