The Delta Flyers is a weekly Star Trek: Voyager rewatch & recap podcast hosted by Garrett Wang & Robert Duncan McNeill. Each week Garrett and Robert will rewatch an episode of Voyager starting at the very beginning. This week’s episode is Night. Garrett and Robbie recap and discuss the episode, and share their insight as series regulars.

Night:
Voyager enters an expanse of space where no stars are visible that will take two years to cross; the lack of starlight causes morale issues with the crew; Janeway questions the choices that stranded her crew far from home.

Since you guys addressed it and I’ve wanted to say something for a while, I cannot tell you how helpful having you guys “keep me company” with stories and memories. I am about two seasons behind where you guys are right now, and honestly I don’t know what I’m gonna do when you guys finish Voyager and I get caught up because there’s gonna be a real void in a lot of the quiet time that I have in my life. So thank you both for doing this; especially once the pandemic paper off, and you got back to your regular job, it really has made a difference for me and I’m sure many others. Live long and prosper.

I love how Garrett sounded as pissed as Harry was when talking about the Doctor walking into the Captain Proton program. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

James Morrow

Love this thumbnail pic! Proton and Buster are either fighting some intergalactic evil found in the darkness….or maybe there has been a power outage on the rocket ship and they can’t see! ;-)

John

Yeah the fact that the Captain Proton fake gun was more effective than the real phaser rifle was pretty silly, lol

DogBlud

That's a funny way of saying "it owns and I'm glad it's canon."

Justin

Wait, shouldn’t you guys have switched poetry styles?

So not related to this episode, but I think the production designer on Discovery might listen to Delta Flyers 🤔. In the latest episode the Jeffery’s Tubes clearly have padded floor plates 😛

Michiganers???? WTF? C'mon Garrett! That's my home state and we are MichiGANDERS. If you're gonna pretend to have a Michigan accent you should know that much! (This bothers me more than it should, lol)

Back from Star Trek The Cruise and catching up on the podcasts... two things: 1) THANK YOU Garrett for your delightful and surprising note on the notepad on my cabin door! Totally floored me. 2) If there is any way the Delta Flyers could record a podcast episode during STTC VI next year, that would be the most amazing thing ever. Thank you both for these wonderful weekly recaps!!

Len

LOVE the custom cover art! 😄👍

I’ve listened to “InvestiGates” and “Shuttlepod” but neither of those do episode recaps which is what evokes such great memories and discussions

Jumping in on the "How Great Is This Podcast" train, I listen to Delta Flyers every morning while I walk the dogs and do strength training. Having a podcast to listen to has made getting up early so much easier! Thank you thank you thank you!
