We’re joined by Bryan Quinby to review Jerry Seinfeld’s new Netflix film Unfrosted, about the invention of Pop Tarts. We dive into this bizarre & joyless cultural artifact which is a parade of humiliation for the numerous comedians featured in it, and a window into the seemingly bottomless well of misanthropy underneath Seinfeld’s banal observational humor. A romp!

I thought it was funny..

Pedro

Two proms! That’s two proms too many

J.P. McD.

Yea it’s obviously pretty funny in spots and all people I know irl who’ve seen it liked it. Twitter poisoned leftists pretend they hate it.

Alex B

Fun fact: the set dressers on Seinfeld would organize the cereal boxes in Jerry's kitchen alphabetically to represent how anal he was about everything

Ryan Johnston

All the young basketball fans have been saying “we’re done with the 90s” after seeing how the talent just doesn’t stack up as well today… Jerry got me feeling the same way about comedy

ploob

Walter Cronkite was played by Kyle Dunnigan, he’s a great impressionist. He was the one that Bill Maher pretended not to know on Rogan, because Kyle does a hilarious Bill Maher impression.

Jonathan Nathan

You'll have to get up pretty early in the morning to trick me into thinking Jerry Seinfeld has ever been funny in his life. The man is so unfunny he made Larry David's writing unfunny.

Savannakhet

Does Ford Vs Ferrari qualify as a product movie? I quite liked that one.

NYCM&AHole

So glad I didn’t see this

NYCM&AHole

Seinfield made me want to execute people who play slap bass

J.P. McD.

“No you don’t understand, only this one co-creator was the good one” is nerd shit

Jonathan Nathan

I don't think I've ever heard Felix so disgusted by something he couldn't even bear to repeat it.

Michael

So Jerry Seinfeld made a grudge movie.

HamDrawn

Having exhausted all of the Chapo Movie review collection last night, this drops at the perfect time.

Jonathan Nathan

Seinfeld sucked. Curb didn't. Calculation seems simple to me.

Ian H

The same Guardian reviewer who gave this that tortured positive review just completely panned Megalopolis. So I guess Megalopolis is good?

Jim

Man…as a kid from the 90s with no way to express my intuitions nor any insider industry info, I always hated Seinfeld as well as emerging Family guy that my friends shouted me down for thinking was nowhere near as good as the best seasons of Simpsons (6-9). I think I read a snippet that he volunteered for something unusual in the IDF that already had him marked as bad, which I was also right about in the 90s…&…I just could barely contain the disgust? I even used to like cars/be into them (not so much anymore/try to live a life without feeding the car industry nor fashionable consumption nor car-centric urban planning), but that’s much more recent. I can *sort of* watch Jay Leno’s garage just because I know someone that works for him that used to fix / keep going beat / use value old cars as a creative conservationist as an old salty New England (Maine) dog ~Berkeley/east bay who’s brain few of us have access to anymore (common tale of industry and paywalled knowledge everywhere these days) and figures out how to reverse engineer / remake things lost to history in-house for Leno’s restorations/defacto museum after he got sick of all the cheapasses/ general public (can’t say I blame him?/ I get it even if we’re all kinda the poorer for it in some ways?). Leno’s Garage ain’t *great* & every moment that isn’t referencing earlier Leno being broke & actually working for a dealer back in the day & kind of knowing/living a few bits of history & making them *somewhat* accessible to us I can tolerate. The rest of it, not so much…I’m definitely on that fast forward slider/cherry picking it way down on a much truncated version? Comedians in Cars getting Coffee is Chernobyl elephants foot toxic to watch for me / really is the true precursor to this. Guess what? …I was right? As a dour californicated-over native Portlander who’s been ‘exposed’ to Fred Armissen, once was more than enough, plus he dated Natasha Lyonne, which in addition to having no talent/us already having Jon Hamm who’s actually fun to watch, makes him a creepo dating someone hot age appropriate to someone my age, which ain’t helpin,’ either! He dates the hottest girl I saw in a casual bad movie growing up and helped attract shitty people & ruin this town just a little more (not that it was ever exactly great in the Elliot smith days lol)? One HS friend that dated the twin sister used to tediously quote Jerry Seinfeld bits at me… …settling that grudge behind a back required nearly all my limited brain power available in the 6 months prior to graduation & lazy over qualification for state college… …anyway, that ‘boat act’ seinfeld should be forced to walk the plank into gators/crocs indefinitely in the many, many years he has earned in hell…

Jim

I’ve ALWAYS thought this in some sort of unconscious way I couldn’t express at the time before it was cool. Don’t leave out Peter Mehlman & Larry Charles, tho? And, bad as Jason Alexander’s opinions are lately and privileged as Julia Louis Dreyfus background is with the ever bad SNL association, they MAKE that show, such as it holds up at all…. I’m wore out on Larry David’s jokes, but I still like some of his bits & it still makes me laugh a little? Talk about the curb finale being a similar letdown… …I see seinfeld on the last of Curb & it cured me of wanting to see any more of it/‘get this guy off the F off my screen!/I thought we were done with this always awful boat act low comedy art no talent has-been.’

Jim

Idk, I’m not that online, don’t have Twitter/Facebook/social media & not particularly political/ probably pretty conservative and square compared to this audience, but I kinda can’t stand Jerry Seinfeld snd never could/have always had that opinion from my formative years as a xennial?

JD Nonce

This movie is so bad that I’m having trouble listening to the Chapo boys roasting it

Rene

Judge holden with a budget is an understatement

Kinetics Video

That bone deep contempt in Felix's voice gave me life here. Makes me think like a Citizen Kane style deconstruction on Seinfeld could be glorious

Jim

I guess you just gotta look at the aggregate with seinfeld for the totality of his evil? Pedo/ in the Epstein flight logs. Went out of his way to volunteer for some similar position in the IDF as a comfortable American boomer comparable to Ron Desantis in Guantanamo spiritually, probably? Has ~1billion dollars from Seinfeld syndication despite having no talent that went into it / far from an asset to the show. Have to look at him on the Curb finale. Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee as the immediate precursor to this along with having to see him at all. Mitzi Shore & others (Apparently Chapos own Chris Wade?) who are way less known who were right about him all along. Being dated in the most awful ways tastes of the most piggish of the boomers, israel supporters, toxic no-talent celeb personalities & having as much $ as he does… …just off the charts evil in the competition of petty & concentrated shittyness (at least a Michael Jordan had top talent even if he is petty, rich and awful?). Maybe not direct or outright war criminal evil like a actual head of state type true dictator or Kissinger type evil, but pretty freaking awful in the aggregate?

Dan

Harold Von Braunhut, the inventor and seller of Sea Monkeys, was a Nazi- an American one. A novelty products developer and distributor famous for advertising in comic books, he was also a major material benefactor of the Aryan Nations and at least some factions of the KKK. This is probably what they were referencing.

Waffle Poet

I’m heading to Public Apology Central right after this. Thanks, Mr. Quinby!

Comrade Trash Panda

Damnit Felix, you stole my joke about Sienfeld/Curb Your Enthusiasm! How could anyone watch this without becoming an anti-semite?

Jim

If you give this a positive review & AIPAC ain’t paying ya, you ain’t tryin’!

kmd

Love how jerry thinks you can't make one of the most watched shows in syndication today

Tim O'

It's about two products fighting each other, so I think it counts

KB

Have you ever put butter on a poptart

Jacob

So many work friends insist I watch this absolute streamer

Greg

The movie coworkers everywhere are talking about!

Regular guy

The Guys podcast really should do a zionists episode because they truly are their own special type of guy

b-rar

They already made an actual funny movie taking down the titans of the cereal sector and it's Road to Wellville.

Natalie

Oh fuck yeah this is gonna be the highlight of my day (I am a loser)

MEAT CLOWN

Another bad movie episode?!? HE'LL YEA BORTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

Jake Lewis

oh look it’s famous swinger/sex guy bryan quinby!

Sam

It rules that it was revealed that the whole “true story” that Flamin’ Hot was based on was in fact not true while they were producing the movie and they just went with “based on a true story” marketing anyway.

Bill Vog

I love that Jerry Seinfeld is the arbiter of comedy. He will tell YOU what is funny!

Matthew

Jerry's never recovered from NBC cancelling Seinfeld 😔 smh

Jim

I love Quinbys genial perspective, peculiar accent & instantly recognizable Ohio voice well suited to radio (although his body language is also pretty wonderful sitting passively?) , solidarity with people with shitty jobs, interviews, music knowledge & festival experiences, ability remember to forgive & learn from his past self / consider his memory or bias quickly & shed toxic judgement & giving others room to speak without needing to be the star or steal the show. I also love that he’s a late Gen-xer guy born in years when almost no one was born in a depressing place like OH, which describes a lot of my friends as a xennial, but that he didn’t become a total reactionary shithead like most? This said, I can’t really do streetfight? I don’t think it’s his fault…just kind of the format? It came too early & didn’t quite evolve with more resources like sopranos? But it was earlier days of online radio/podcasts and the local kBoo radio station snd Tucson community radio stations used to be good (Tucson community radio still mostly is for music snd some shows (until you get to 12pm snd all the democracy now squawk to fill the time (much as I like Amy goodmans talent to control the tempo/ability to spit out the call sign and end credits at light speed after interviewing someone rambling like Chomsky , her voice & how she phrases the questions for radio repeats & lack of local relevance / more academic affect i can’t really do?) and I do genuinely like that you can truly be a passive listener (or active caller?) of old skool analog radio, no digital mouse ticklers required (are you a maker, fixer or mouse tickler? (Some say fondler to imply further degeneracy, but it doesn’t rhyme). No scraping your data, they have to really try stuff to keep your attention between ads, call signs etc with FCC approved speech or do ads with broad appeal as well as repeat the radio call sign at pre-scripted intervals as well as get sensitive subjects out there creatively with the omnipresent FCC/clear channel corporatocracy Gestapo. Idk if he ever volunteered at a local radio station @ Antioch college (or similar being an Ohio guy that used to have some real good people for that), although Antioch, like so many such colleges, has long since shed its work-study and ability to nurture strange radical eccentric Alums as well as affordability (Rod Serling (speaking of how to use the radio medium in strange & new ways & Coretta Scott come to mind?) He needs an editor &/or (this’ll sound classist) *probably* someone with the inside track in media &/or skilled and cynical upper middle class literary sensibilities? It just rambles just a *little* too much? That said, I LOVE ‘guys’ as a concept & also like its strange curiosity maybe like a more scripted & less spontaneous Andrew callighan channel 5? It just doesn’t *quite* come alive for me like reading Dull Guys Facebook (I don’t have Facebook, but people copy pasta send me stuff?) can at times… …it’s just a *little* opinionated without edited down sharp insight nor quite splash shock and nuance in each episode, but I *want* to like it? Although, maybe his format works for more clicks and the majority of his audience click with it more me and I’m the idiot/am missing the good bits, so who am I to judge? I also check out ‘guys’ here and there and think ‘dammit, why didn’t I think of that?’

Mark Schneider

The Supertramp "Breakfast in America" outro was perfect-- very 80s (like Jerry) but in a good way.

Kolisi’s Stepson

Seinfeld gives me big Drake energy. Super successful but never in the way he wanted to be with absolutely no inner life, so he’s just mad all the time.

Steve D

Purposefully or not - Seinfeld remade the original Oceans 11

Meatwad Cosby

Bryan distancing himself from his past praise for Red Notice. chef’s kiss.

nflonineO

Shutout workaholics. The DVD menu music of that show was my hot couch music in 2013-2015

Alec

17-38

Jacob Johnson

I was 35 minutes into this review before I realized the movie was live action, not animated. It’s even worse than I thought.

Demented Avenger

21:16 "My heart sank … where Jerry is trying to pick up the child in the diner." Jerry has moved from high schools to diners for getting dates now?

Michael Sullivan

The Chris Chan reference jumpscare got me quaking

Pancy Nelosi

This movie caused my hair to fall out and my bones to soften. I no longer produce white blood cells… I am dying in agony.

Pvt. Jenkins

Disgusting, and probably illegal

lkmewqa

Movie so bad you had to make a terrible episode about it. Should have been a movie mindset episode instead.

Zach Young

Please do IF aka imaginary friends it seems like it will be bad based of John ciasinski and the amount of famous people in it

zenith

Jerry Seinfeld used to come to a little movie theater in my town all the time before it closed down. Apparently he was friends with the owners and would have it shut down for a few hours if he would come by to see something alone with his wife

C. Ries

He was also Jewish which makes the story even stranger. He added the von to his name in the 50’s

C. Ries

They also share two other things in common…

thicchatlogan

how is the Guys podcast these days, I quit listening a while ago since chris james gets on my nerves and also they attacked me personally on the jam band guys ep (ok mostly just the first thing but also cmon man you can't just listen to 2 minutes of a 20 minute dark star performance and decide the dead were exactly the same band as phish)

MCL

The perfect breakfast food film was already made in 1985- it’s The Stuff

Austin

The pos who invented sea monkeys was actually a Nazi btw. Was also Jewish and a member of the KKK and Aryan Nations. Bizarre shit.

Marc Silverstein

Mr. Seinfeld, where were you in the early 2020's? I was serious about the 2020's question.

Marc Silverstein

Im glad edgy gritty pro-israel comedy is still alive and well!

lars

the synergy of listening to a great ep about the most banal comedian ever while simultaneously going through the unbearable photographs Andy Warhol took as part of my day job is a pretty special head space..

Chris

Felix's Seinfeld impression is very good

David Crandall

It would make sense if Jerry came out and said he made another movie for the Paul Blart Mall Cop Universe

T

I hate the Drake!

Sheep

MOVLE!!! FLUB! FLUB! FLUB!

Mike Mariano

I was surprised to see that Larry Miller, the comedian often described as Seinfeld’s best friend , was not in the cast list for Unfrosted. From IMDB it looks like he hasn’t taken any roles in five years. He, uh, has also made several “there’s no such thing as Palestine” comments in the past so maybe I don’t want to hear what he’s up to now.

Mike Mariano

Chris Stein posting random Deborah Harry photos on social media is so much better than Warhol’s use of her.

Natalie

I saw a cybertruck in real life nvm

lars

Agreed, Andy had a special knack for ruining everything.

Robert Ritchie

I love Mullen's point that in Seinfeld, Jerry just stands there with his mouth open waiting to say his line.

Satcomdaemon

unsubscribing for negative comments about Shakes the Clown. Every frame of that film is perfection.

Aaron Christmas

Tried watching before listening and it's like dinner with Kissinger

Ksizzle

Wait was the sentient ravioli a thing on a previous chapo episode? I just got crazy dejavú hearing that

Zack Burke

"Old comedians in vans giving candy..." God Bobcat is incredible.

Ryan

BlackBerry is pretty great because they actually delve into the consequences of the actions of the power brokers in the company structure when they have to reap what they sow. It knows who to skewer and when in the narrative, and the style of shooting it like ‘The Office’ totally works imo. Flamin Hot is a 90 minute PepsiCo advert and genuinely in the ten worst movies I’ve ever seen.

Noah Mingus

I hate Jerry so much that I have stopped getting coffee with my friends in my car.

Jawn Feddermang

The level of craft sounds like the skits we did at summer camp in middle school.

Kinetics Video

Can't really accept Warhol criticism while I have the image of him shooting Seinfeld in my mind, sorry

Kinetics Video

"Well" is about the last word I'd use to describe any of this

Kinetics Video

Felix needs to become his Kendrick Lamar. This is destiny

Stinkamus

Who the fuck cares man what is this dogshit

C. Andrew

You'd think the guy who likes high schoolers would love prom!

C. Andrew

WHATS THE DEAL with aging comedians losing any ability to grow as people, let alone as comedians! It's like you hit it big and the level of comfort and fame you achieve shields you from adaptation and criticism! Jerry has been fully subsumed as a commodity product, and has no remaining humanity left in his soul, it's impossible for him to like or empathize with other people outside of a transactional relationship.

T

I don't think any comedian even grows past their childhood. Podcasts have revealed too much about embarrassing stuff about stand-up comedy.

polarkeef

8mm with nic cage is a more upbeat movie than this.

Marcus

Jerry Seinfeld loves a car company that has spent six decades building the same car, over and over again, slightly upgrading it every year, and still never figuring out they shouldn't put the engine in the trunk.

BTULTRA

Will needs to eat some crow. the kramer apology was on the Late Show with David Letterman!!

Robert

Bryan forgot to mention the time Gilbert riffed on Leno and Seinfeld’s love of working Comedy clubs for fun. They were at the peaks of their careers and still wanted to work small clubs. Gilbert had Seinfeld pegged as a weirdo from day one.

MKatieUltra

It truly gave me flashbacks to watching the show w my parents as a kid and liking everyone but Jerry. I always found him suspicious since he pulled so many women above his weight and was just fucking mean and annoying.

Antipaganda

I don't want to stop reading this comment. I have become lost in its world.

Kinetics Video

The scene where Orson demolishes a room but instead he's manically neatening and arranging an already trashed room

George Lochinski

Think maybe there were some Bright Future vibes?

triplevalaska

Probably won't watch it, but Seinfeld was a really good show, he deserves more respect than was given here

J.P. McD.

It’s classic 2016-2021 online leftists retroactively declaring that a person with bad political opinions must also have been making bad art all along.

bangoduck

this is basically netflix foodfight, isn't it??

Vincent W Troia

will mentions something about seinfeld wishing he was on the tonight show when johnny carson hosted except he was. that’s when he got started, and carson liked him a lot. anyway i’m sure this movie is trash but dang they took liberties with their commentary.

Paul McKiernan

bro's voice is so annoying man. sounds like someone doing an impression of someone else

Walter rememberer

Going straight from this ep to last year's Bobcat interview on Office Hours

Dude of H-town

Of course Seinfeld thinks someone his age can have twin 6 year olds. His wife is 32.

Gordon Schmidt

Seinfeld was the least entertaining part of that show

Movie Donkey

I worked on Madame Web and I’m right there with Brian in wondering how such shitty content gets made. Everyone on set from the producers to the caterers knew Madame Web was a giant turd. The levels of cognitive dissonance are staggering

Last Years Man

From the moment I heard about this, all I could think was "why does this exist?"

Bobi Jon-son Kenobi

I feel like this would’ve been a better movie if it went the way of Freddy Got Fingered and was fully deranged. Have the Nazi scientist pour boiled milk on children’s skulls. Have Tony the Tiger eat someone. Have none of the characters have any redeeming qualities

Last Years Man

Everything in life comes full circle. I hated Seinfeld when it was on the air and then liked it as an adult. Now the world's come around to my initial opinion.

Nolan

I don’t even put pop tarts in the toaster, I just raw dog them.

Sam

i fuck poptart

pizzapope

True fact about Seinfeld; people working on his projects are explicitly told to not make jokes around him. He is the only one allowed to be funny, and of course all of his underlings gleefully chuckle at anything he says

pizzapope

same applies to a number of other comedians (only other established comedians are allowed to make jokes around them)

K H

The joke stuck in the toaster caught fire and burned the house down. Only one survivor. Jerry. I see the edges of the pattern but it's so much bigger I don't know if it's really there.

Twistedsister

lol no one said Seinfeld was a bad show

Aaron Enold

Well they did that last one.

Logan

If Jerry Seinfeld was occasionally funny and 10% less racist and short he would be like Michael Richards

Oliver Elliott

I know a guy who was on that awful Fantastic Four movie from like 8 years ago and he was saying it would be an infamous disaster while they were still shooting.

Jaime Christley

If you look up Michael Winslow and Whole Lotta Love, you'll be heartened to learn that, at least as late as 2012, he's still GOATed in the voice business.

Oliver Elliott

You do have to see one in the wild to see how fucking stupid they are. Way worse than they even look in the showroom let alone a picture.

Jaime Christley

Also kudos to Chris for not doing what I would have done if Seinfeld made a "GAHHH" gesture at my lav mics, which would have been to Kubrick stare at him until I lost my job

MrMojoRisin

All I got from this is that Seinfeld he's pretty much the real life Bojack Horseman

Natalie

It was in the parking garage at my work so i walked around and touched it and It really was as dirty and sharp as people said it would be

Jaime Christley

is Seinfeld a teetotaler? I bet he is. Not to knock sober people, bless 'em, but a teetotaler is a specific kind of character and everything else about him lines up.

triplevalaska

It was an hr and half long show how Jerry is the worst he hates everyone he's not funny, he's dick small, he can't jump high. All I'm saying is I still quote Seinfeld episodes 20 years later, not many shows that have that kinda culture staying power. Jerry deserves better than this hit job

Kate Baldwin

Every joke or fact they mention sounds so fake I can't believe this is a movie

PP Cool P

Very believable. If you’ve ever hung around amateur/local comedians you could see how insecure and defensive they can be about anyone being funny around them.

Tim

It was Letterman!

Kate Baldwin

Also it just reminds me of watching 30 rock with my friends after highschool and we were all like oh wow Seinfeld! But theb felt like when they bring on someone like Condi Rice where the cast has to really do all the work in those scenes because the person is so awkward

Michael

If that’s the case you REALLY can’t get mad at him for not wanting to be touched.

Nathan Explosion

please please we need an emergency movie episode on the John Krasinski movie IF because it is the most hollywood sickos telling on themselves movie i have ever seen and im truly not predisposed to that kind of assessment. it is fucking twisted and will be used as evidence in a court case someday

Matthew Krueger

It's the fucking Citizen Kane of Alcoholic Clown Movies! It says so on my dvd box! In all seriousness, it is a perfect movie. Lawanda Page saying "Soon as they turn off that camera, he's gonna fuck that little dog." is the hardest I've ever laughed at anything in my life.

True Horror Productions

Didnt jerry's weird ass do a doublemint twins line back on seinfeld, why does that shit sound familiar

Alex Herter

I saw Michael Winslow perform stand up comedy several years ago at sketchfest in SF, set was full of lots of sound effects and not great crowd work but at the end him & Rhys Darby joined forces on stage to act out what dinosaurs sounded like & that was pretty good .

Zev Deans

"an insane person"?! come on guys, Valerie Solanas deserves better

Evan P

Immediately after listening, I got a sponsored post from PopTarts with some dumb sketch with Jerry in it. This is the copy: “He started it! Jerry made Unfrosted, a movie about Pop-Tarts without asking us, so we're getting even.” Kill me

Daniel Comiskey

Did Greg Turkington give the 5 star review?

Nicholas J Skradski

I watched this and I'm pretty sure if Isreal somehow shot this into the sky over Palestine so everyone could see it, they'd all pile into schools and hospitals so they get bombed sooner.

Breakaway

I hope The Empire Never Ended will do an episode about him.

Garrat M

BlackBerry and Air were the only one of these types of movies that were enjoyable. But this is definitely the worst of the product biopic movies and just shows that the only reason Seinfeld was successful was because of Larry David and the other actors in that show.

Creamy Goodness

They made me really really want to see this movie.

Jason

It's fun to rage and pretend to be baffled by this shit but the horrifying reality is that our families all loved the movie.

Zach H.

Fuck Pop -Tarts. Toaster Strudel uber alles!

saintbeau

5 bags* i see we have a joey patron apologist

Devin Lorentzen

Richard Kelly is one of the producers for World's Greatest Dad.

Zach Pierce

I want to say the Kramer apology was on letterman. And here’s a bit of context I remember: the SEINFELD DVD SERIES was being released THAT NEXT TUESDAY. So the timing of Kramer’s racism was extra poor.

Mike B

Just here to say that Hugh Laurie plays the exact same parody of an actor in Paddington 2

Tim Adams

"No Country" is not mid McCarthy

Josie

Yay!!! LOVE BRYAN- my Ohio homie 🥰

Reece Coren

howard stern (in jerry seinfelds voice) “i can do jokes about poptarts but i draw the line at flag jokes and girls over twelve”

Reece Coren

A++ episode the unreal chapo run of the spring of ‘24 continues peaking

vermouth

andy warhol sucks major ass

Steven Medge

Lets get one thing straight, Warhols schtick is fucking garbage

Jonathan Nathan

You're right. I can't listen to any minutes of any jam band performance of anything.

Nate

Dear god can you all fix your shit? Just move to Spotify already, whatever program you’re currently using sucks this is the second time I’ve had to go through the whole back catalogue and mark everything I’ve played.

Jack Arens

Those hot fudge sundae motherfuckers are going in the freezer tbh

Frank

Anyway can I have slop please I'm hungry and need distraction from my personal life

Lord-Admiral of the Pyrenees

Do you think Jerry resents Curb Your Enthusiasm? I’m surprised they didn’t mention that here.

Lord-Admiral of the Pyrenees

Yeah but other people worked on Seinfeld: Larry David, the cast, great comedy writers like Larry Charles. Jerry deserves credit for Seinfeld but not anywhere approaching sole credit. This situation reminds me of George Lucas and Star Wars. I love Seinfeld and still quote it but Jerry’s a maniac.

Lord-Admiral of the Pyrenees

They never cancelled it, they offered Jerry even more money he didn’t want to continue. This is honestly something that Seinfeld deserves a lot of credit for.

Dustin Sparks

The bit about seeing Amy Schumer in something after all her Israel statements clicked with me. I watched Trolls Band Together with my 3 year old a few months ago and she plays one of the villains. She basically plays as herself in that movie - talentless, steals material, and giddy about the murder of a captive population.

Garrat M

I think Jerry has always resent Larry because Larry usually gets all the credit for his career success. He was a joke writer for him during the peak of his career and the main writer on Seinfeld. Since they parted ways and haven't worked together since. Jerry hasn't had as much success. But it probably slipped the boys minds because Felix is right. This movie made me a Holocaust denier, even though my great grandparents were survivors.

Matthew

Why must you turn this comment thread into a den of lies, Lord-Admiral? 😩

Valentino

It was always so weird to me that so many comics were inspired by Hicks to become these misanthropic weirdos when Hicks ended his biggest special by saying, "Hey, if we took all the money used for the American military we could cloth, feed and educate everyone on earth multiple times."

Khemith

ICC just amended it's warrant for arrest

Nate

It’s not perfect but it’s better than the platform Chapo uses for their premium eps.

Khemith

Ten dead cats says yes.

Khemith

Where were going we don't need eyes.

skrrt vonnegut

falling asleep within minutes reaching the moment of Ultimate Joke Awareness

Matt

You could have plugged one of three dozen different 90s stand ups into the Jerry role and it would have been just as good.

James Wallace

Looked up the Godfrey Seinfeld answering machine bit on YouTube did not disappoint thank you

Daniel Hepburn

Weird, quasi pathological, level of millenial butthurt on display with this episode. The Chapo cannon is becoming very hard to make sense of. At what point do we accept common cause with the groypers?

Daniel Hepburn

Tbh, I don't think I have ever had a toasted poptart. It even seems wrong to me, for some reason.

Gordon Shumway

We need the "Snyder Cut" of Shakes the Clown.

C-Dub

Wish Movie Mindset was half as good as this episode was.

John Atherton

this movie gave me secondhand psychic damage

Reece Coren

when my grandchildren one day ask me about prime Felix Biederman, i’m playing them this episode

Hardcore Virgin

You guys make this one seem good! Add it to the movie playlist por favor!
