My experience w/ TA was miserable. Me & my family purchased tickets on TA. Because we did not electronically check-in 24 hours in advance, we were booted off the flight b/c they overbooked the fuck out of it. TA put us up in a La Quinta, and we waited six hours for the bus to take us there. Upon arriving, we saw many Syrian war refugees (from what I could tell these were the actual fighters and in all seriousness for Isis because the Turkish government along with the Saudi monarchy fully backed and continue to back Isis in Syria). There was a sick vomiting cat in the elevator, and the baklava had a fly on it, my room smelled like mold, my neighbors (Isis members) got into a fight and threw a chair into the wall, I could not sleep had no change of clothes b/c our luggage was on the fucking plane. I blame all of this on TA overbooking the flight. Fuck them. They still owe me 1200 Euro which they NEVER paid no matter who I called.

I flew to Budapest via Istanbul on Turkish Airlines in 2016 and everything was Batman vs Superman branded! I was so puzzled. My guess as to why was that there's a town in Turkey named Batman. The menu was a folding bat, almost wish I'd saved it. They gave us little cubes of Turkish delight with Batman/Superman flags in them after boarding. The food was great for an airline, the man's got taste!

just have to do a fact check on Felix I’m afraid, the story about deleting texts in the bathroom was an Adams staffer not Adams himself. Eric Adams did something even stupider because after the investigation started he changed the passcode on his phone and then claimed he forgot what the new passcode was to investigators, he seriously thought if he “forgot” the new passcode that would just stop the entire investigation in its tracks. He claimed he changed the passcode to protect any potential evidence on his phone from being tampered with.

maybe it's because I have a functional brain and I can remember stuff but wasn't there a strong stand from jewish advocacy groups for international refugee protections? There's a big talking point centered around the legal barriers that countries used to keep jewish refugees out on the leadup and during WWII so hearing this guy talk about the monetary cost of immigrants to the public health system feels especially fucked up, like imagine NYC turning around a boat full of jews from germany in 1937 because it would strain the housing market.
